Cedar Tree is a family-owned business and has had the pleasure of serving local families since 2007. The McMillan family has been in Prescott since 1982. Preschool is academic-based and offers each student an individual program which is unique to any other preschool in the area. Academic, social and emotional growth are equally acknowledged and individually designed.

We are not a cookie-cutter program. A Montessori preschool offers hands-on learning in math, language, sensorial and practical life workcycles. We continue to change and upgrade our program to keep up with the needs of our families. Though we seem to be through this difficult year, safety measures such as fever checks, handwashing and sanitizer will stay in place as part of the check-in procedure.

The observation was vary unprofessional, she smells like cigarettes, the classrooms looked clean. She couldn’t explain much about the programs.

Our child has been going to cedar tree for the last year. We are thankful for the staff at cedar tree for the care they have provided. It has been a safe, clean environment for our child and he has looked forward to being there each day. All of the teachers were especially attentive to his needs and helped us transition from diapers to underwear within about a month. Thank you for everything.

My 3 year old has been attending Cedar Tree for about 1 year. I am very impressed with this school and their staff. She is in preschool and her teacher, Ms. Aly, does an incredible job with daily structure and academics. They have a safe and healthy environment which has helped my daughter thrive. My daughter had some social and listening delays when she transferred from the toddler room to the preschool room. They were able to provide adequate resources to help her catch up with the other students. I would highly recommend Cedar Tree for their amazing program and staff.

Since my son has started attending cedar tree I’ve seen his vocabulary and his day to day life skills have improved tremendously. He has attended the toddler program and moved up to the preschool program.
I would say this school is #1 on my list since they take time and consideration for each individual child. They are all highly trusted educated teachers and teacher Aids.

We had a wonderful experience with this school. Our son was enrolled there from age 2-3. We moved away from Prescott, otherwise he would still be going to school there. The teachers are very caring, considerate, and kind. They have great structure and routine in this program. The teachers always presented any issues to us very professionally. They were thorough and caring and my child always seemed well instructed and cared for there. Now with experience in other locations I see just how spoiled we were with Cedar Tree Montessori! Seriously, these teachers are mature and wonderful with the kiddos

I currently take my daughter to Cedar Tree Montessori, I love having her there and she's learned a lot since attending this school for the past year and a half. They have the classes well structured with an even balance of interactive activities as well as play time for the children. My child has learned to count in Spanish, work on her writing skills with frequent updates, learned about topics that really interest her such as space and planets in the solar system. She's excited to go to school every day! The only downside is they close for school holidays and breaks which can be a little inconvenient

Wow. I am a trained Montessori teacher just enquiring about opportunities in the area. I called cedar tree, and a man named Dave picked up. I introduced myself politely asking about employment opportunities there, and the response, word for word, "We're not interested. Goodbye!" And just hung up in my ear.
Now, I don't usually write reviews, but I needed to do this one to save the authenticity of Maria Montessori's teachings! We teach the children to be contributing citizens of the world. This includes teaching the children manners. Mr. Dave, you need to be careful of how you treat people and

I can't enough good things about this place. The kids are always happy, the staff is always interacting with the kids. My 4 year old son is learning so much here. I love the easygoing nature of the staff and everyone is so easy to talk to. I only do the half day program, but would have no issues with my son coming here full day. I also appreciate the parent conferences where we can see growth throughout the year. We're so thankful to be able to have our child enrolled here.

Ellens post is the same one that Liz wrote for other sites.... There is a whole history of why we ended the enrollment of Liz's son. When parents choose to ignore, blame or find excuses for very bad behavior at our preschool, terminating enrollment is usually the end result. After requesting a meeting to discuss the progression of worsening behavior - 3 families reported that their children were afraid to come to school because of her son - and the cancellation of the parent-teacher conference this week, we felt we would not get any parent participation and removed him from our program. We know

My 2 year old son Dillon has been going to Cedar Tree for a few weeks and my experience has been great! He is learning so much from the toddler program, including interacting with other 2 year olds (always hard at first for an only child). The owners and staff are great and so willing to help where they can! Thank you Cedar Tree! I don't understand the review that says they don't wash hands......He comes home cleaner than he shows up! Guess that is my fault!
