Here at Saf-way, we specialize in the recovery and recycling of used motor oil and filters. Since 1978, we have expanded our equipment and personnel to offer many professional services including: correct containment and disposal of antifreeze and other contaminants, distribution of environment-friendly parts washers by Renegade, emergency spill response, and more.
Services
Saf-Way Recycler is a subsidiary of Nu-Way Environmentalist Incorporated of Georgia. Howard and Marie Smallwood, the founders of Saf-Way Recycler, started picking up used oil in 1978 in a single axle pump truck, and we are proud to say that our corporation still picks up used oil, used oil filters and anti-freeze from those same service stations, quick-lube businesses, fleet services, and auto dealerships in North and South Carolina.
Used Oil Disposal - we provide our customers, as an option, a properly sized tank to store their used oil, put that customer on a schedule so that the oil is retrieved from the container on a regular basis, test the oil to assure that it is not contaminated with hazardous materials, and then take the oil to a repurposing facility to be converted to usable product.

You need to pay attention to the price you are being paid here! Called after leaving and found they paid $.11/lb less than what they said the rate should have been ($8 difference).
They deduct more weight for their cart than it actually weighs, so that's an even bigger rip-off (fyi only the biggest cart weighs 129lbs; small carts only weigh about 105lbs)
Bottom line (if you want to get the most money possible): Check prices first, carefully separate materials, ask what they are classifying things as, ask to have the cart weighed empty and double check your receipt before you sign.
