Services
We continuously strive to provide the consistent, sought-after and professional spa services that our clients have come to expect and we're extremely well reviewed as a result. We maintain a 5-star Yelp rating on over 250 reviews, and we'd love you to be the next. With nearly 20 years in the industry, Leah is a skincare veteran.
We use a platform called Frederick which monitors our open appointment slots and sends out automatic discounted appointment offers to help fill those open time slots. It's a win-win as it helps us efficiently fill our capacity as a spa and offers our clients the opportunity to save some cash in exchange for being willing to fill that last-minute opening.
Heads up: There's a fairly annoying glitch where our booking platform doesn't allow selecting multiple services when booking directly through waxapeel.com. If you're looking to book more than one service, we'd recommend booking through our Mindbody page which you can find here. Cancellations must be made at least 4-hours prior to your appointment time to allow ample time for us to fill the vacant spot.

I’ve been going to waxapeel since its opening to get my eyebrows waxed. Service is consistently great, always clean and on time. I’ve never walked out of the salon in bad mood. I’ve not compared pricing but I think they’re worth every cent. Highly recommend it. Worth the drive for anyone who does not live in Lafayette.

I got my first ever Brazilian Wax here and I was really nervous, but Leah was so kind and comforting, she really helped ease my anxiety. We had great conversation that helped distract me from the pain and nerves I was feeling. She did an amazing job, she was extremely thorough and I love how it turned out. I can't wait to come back to get waxed again! Such a great experience!

Follow up review: wax a peel is still fantastic. Through the pandemic, Leah managed to keep her beautiful small business afloat.
Today, I went in and it was like pre-pandemic times. A few new employees buzzing around and Leah with her lovely smile.
Shoutout to Teissa, who is an excellent esthetician and all around nice person.
This is a woman-owned, women-run small business. They give back to the community and they are great at what they do. I mean seriously, I almost fell asleep during my leg wax. I don't think they're supposed to be that relaxing! :)

First time checking this place out, never going back. I've been waxing forever and thought I'd check this place out because it's close to home. Well, left with a MASSIVE bruise because she essentially ripped my arm off. This isn't normal but what was more abnormal was she didn't even say anything. I knew something was wrong based off of how much pain I was in. When she had me roll over for the other arm (which btw was so odd that you lay down for arm waxing?!?!) I noticed it on my left arm and was mortified. Especially since I was getting this done for an event next week

Went in for my first time with Leah today, and what an amazing experience.
She is so friendly, quick and the wax itself was very clean. I've been to several different places for a wax in the Bay Area, and Wax A Peel is definitely in the top 3. The receptionist was nice and very welcoming. Will be my new go-to place for sure!

There's a reason for all of these 5 star reviews. The whole experience, top to bottom (or bottom to top, if you prefer) was outstanding. Leah and her staff are warm and welcoming, and the space is quiet and comfortable.
First time getting professionally "cleaned up" and Leah made me feel completely at ease. Experience was a little stingy..but NOT PAINFUL, due to expertise (and a little topical numbing spray). Whole process took less than 30 minutes. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Sadly, I did not have a great experience with the owner, Leah. I was sure to read many of the reviews prior to scheduling my Brazilian wax at her establishment - many of which were good. However, after my experience, my sentiments definitely align with the not so great reviews; at least from a customer service standpoint. I made my appointment well in advance and was looking forward to getting waxed as well as supporting a small business. On the day of my appointment, about 45 minutes before my scheduled time, I received a text from Leah informing me that she would be late. Of course I was not

Kristen was amazing!! Definitely the best wax experience I have ever had. Complimentary champagne and Kristen even fit me in for a spray tan after my Brazilian! Super clean and comfortable. Totally affordable prices and the entire staff was more than welcoming. I definitely recommend Wax A Peel for beginners if you have never had services before!! The breathing techniques Kristen had me do helped a lot too! I will never get waxed anywhere else. Waaaaay better customer service than European wax center!! Thank you WaxAPeel!!! 💕
