Services
As a part of the permit process, most city building departments now require a photometric lighting report that depicts how the lighting that is planned for a site will conform to the City's requirements.
Additionally, for liability protection purposes, most insurance companies and Attorneys will tell owners that it is important to have sufficient illumination on a property in order to: minimize accidents, discourage crime, and avoid injury and negligence related lawsuits.

In concert with our site lighting design and photometric report services or separately, Sterling Innovations also offers lighting fixture selection recommendations, based on results from evaluating and identifying the optimum lighting fixture brands and model numbers that are most appropriate for each specific project.
A virtual 3D model can be used for purposes such as: catalog sheets, websites, templates, and submittals ("cuts") all without a real part ever being built. A virtual 3D model can also be used to ensure size, fit, and function of parts on their own or within an assembly, as well as used as a basis for manufacturing real parts/products.
Based on our extensive history in the manufacturing industry, we are uniquely able to factor in and incorporate the peripheral factors into our part/product designs; elements for DFM (Design For Manufacturability) such as: fabrication efficiency, maximizing material yields, assembly ease, installation simplicity, application suitability, U.L./DLC requirements, marketability and beyond, all combining to result in products that are cost effective, quick to build and profitable.
Sterling Innovations can do it all or just the portion of the process that you happen to need. We convert your: blueprints, computer files, dimensioned sketches, or sample parts, into virtual models, factoring in the material stretch caused by each bend ("bend deduction" for sheet metal parts).
We then "unfold" the virtual parts into flat patterns/templates that can be used to either act as a guide in cutting a single ready to form part out from a sheet of material or we can tightly "nest" multiple patterns onto a single virtual sheet, as a basis for sequencing a CNC punching or cutting machine, via a "G-code" program.
