I earned my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, from UW Stout in 2016, while counseling, and teaching youth and children social and emotion regulation skills in schools and day treatment. After graduating, I worked with children in schools and their homes. I researched extensively about each person's struggles and devised interactions and patterns of communication.

Symptoms were reduced and happiness and health increased. I guide people through their sadness, fear, confusions, and anger to a safer, healthier, happier place. Why do I want to work with boys and men? I think I can make a difference in their lives and the lives of their partners too. I listen, empathize, reflect and collaborate on relational solutions.

So, why do I want to work with boys and men? I think I can make a difference in their lives and the lives of their partners too. I listen, empathize, reflect and collaborate on relational solutions. The thing is: I have been asked to niche, to specialize. I chose to specialize in men and boys, knowing full well that as I help them, I help their partners the same.
New couples are fantastic! So much promise, so much hope, so many possibilities. The multiplying power of two is amazing. Except when it is not. When the hope dims and possibilities appear absent, we wonder if our hope was only fantasy. To some extent, it was. Most have learned how to relate in and as a couple from our folks first, friends parents, and media parents.
Organizations yield the results they were designed to yield. Families are no different. Most of us learn how to 'do' family by experiencing our family of origin. Sometimes we resolve to do a few things differently, and we succeed, only to find out that we needed a different change. The trick is knowing what to do this time, now.
Imagine life as an hour glass. Straddling the narrow stem, looking down toward the bottom we think of what we should have done. Turning and peering into the top we fret what is coming or imagine perfection. When the bottom upwells and flows back through the narrow throat we experience severe reactions.
That ache you feel in your midsection after a loss, the one that tells you 'you are not yourself', that is unbearable at times and can run or ruin your whole day, month, years. Can you hear what that pain is telling you? There is really no silver lining. The hole may never be filled. And there is recovery.
