After 11 years my dream of becoming a certified reflexologist is finally coming true! I am currently enrolled in the certification program at the International Institute of Reflexology, the world's leading authority on the Ingham Method (R) of Reflexology. I am so excited to be learning so much about how reflexology truly works and I can't wait to share it with the community!

Reflexology is a science that deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands which correspond to all of the glands, organs and parts of the body. Reflexology is a serious adjunct to the health field and shouldn't be confused with a foot massage. It's so much more!
The origins of reflexology are believed to have stemmed all the way back to ancient Egyptian times as seen in hieroglyphics found in a physician's tomb in Saqqara, Egypt(Top Left).It clearly shows the practitioners are working on the hands and feet of their patients. However, reflexology as we know it today was discovered by Eunice Ingham(Bottom Left) who was a physical therapist in a doctor's office in the early 1930's.

My name is Brandie Peterson and I am a board certified massage therapist. It has truly been a blessing to find this career and I am very passionate about the particular way I practice massage therapy. In 2010 I attended Bryan College and graduated from their extensive program with my associate's degree in advanced therapeutic massage and bodywork in 2011.
Reflexology is done on the feet with the client comfortably reclined on a therapy table or chair with pillows/bolsters placed under head and legs. The practitioner starts with several relaxation techniques to help relax the client and get the feet accustomed to touch. The practitioner then "reflexes" the entire foot and around the ankle.
Whispering Hands focuses on the health and wellness of women so please only females may book with the studio. Whispering Hands Massage is a private studio with no receptionist. If you call and do not receive an answer, it is likely that I am in a session or it is outside of business hours. If you're looking for an amazing massage and experience Brandi is the girl you need to see. I have some nasty trigger points from medical issues and she is amazing at finding every single one and getting them to release. When you enter the door you are immediately transformed into a world of relaxation. The atmosphere in there is amazing, homey, and beyond comfortable.
It is super easy to book an appointment and she always has specials going on. So many different types of massages and add ons. Its beyond affordable. The entire experience is heaven and I look forward to booking future appointments
