This cottage, located in St. Joseph, MI, is also an "Arts and Crafts" style home. This home was originally designed, built and decorated by our company as a speculative cottage. When the project was approximately half way complete it was sold to an attorney from Chicago and his wife, who have used it ever since as a second home.
This project was a new "Arts and Crafts" style cottage located in the heart of "Michigan's Harbor Country", Harbert, MI. The cottage was designed by a local architect from Stevensville, MI, Chris Brooks, whom we have worked with on several occasions in the past, and an interior decorator out of Chicago, Beth Niemand.
Our company designed and built a set of steel entrance gates (first image below). The owner wanted to keep people from parking on their property. Since the opening was over 30 feet, we constructed the gates with a steel frame and added a cedar facade to warm them up a bit. Each half of the gate also hinges in the middle, so the owner can open and close them even when there are cars parked in the driveway.

In every respect, Caleb is outstanding! He takes pride in his work, is super responsive, and establishes great communication. We are over the top about the outcome of our project, which was a large addition and a complete renovation of our existing house. We have done many other projects over the years but have never had a contractor like Caleb before. He is amazing!

I was the architect for a project that included a two-story 850 SF addition, three new & renovated bathrooms, a new kitchen and recladding of the entire exterior. Artisan Builders performed the work competently and within a reasonable timeframe despite local labor shortages that have plagued other projects. I enjoyed working with Caleb and found him to be honest, fair and in complete command of his crews. He did what he promised and we were pleased with the results.

Caleb renovated our 60 year-old house top to bottom over several months. The result definitely exceeded our expectations. The quality of the work is exceptional because he focuses on doing things right and is an experienced and highly skilled builder. Everyone on his team was pleasant to work with and shared his focus on excellence. I especially appreciated how he stayed in touch, sometimes exchanging several texts a day.
