Services
SCOPE Surveyed for Forest Service Sensitive Raptor Species in the vicinity of the proposed Grand Targhee Resort Master Plan. Conducted automated recording unit surveys and call playback surveys for Great Gray Owl, Boreal Owl, Flammulated Owl, and Northern Goshawk. SCOPE Designed a wetland adjacent to existing waterbodies and wetlands to provide and improve breeding season and year-round habitat for amphibians.
SCOPE Accelerated streambank erosion and lateral migration of the channel threatened a flood control berm, access road, and sewer main line. A toe wood with bioengineered willow soil lifts was used to stabilize the bank and provide long term ecological benefits to the creek and riparian corridor. Alder Environmental provided design, permitting, and construction supervision services for the project.
SCOPE Review existing resource data and resort planning documents, prepare survey maps, collect data and provide assessment reports for hydrology and aquatic resources, plants and vegetative communities, and wildlife; prepare Biological Assessment and Biological Evaluation Reports for NEPA Environmental Impact Statement; coordinate resource assessments with planning team and US Forest Service staff.
SCOPE Two baseline inventories were conducted for the purpose of granting and maintaining conservation easements on the Rolling Thunder Ranch (4,000 acres). Provide a basic level of descriptive information so that future conditions and trends, both natural and human induced, can be monitored. Identify and document the natural resources, open spaces and significant habitats associated with the property.
