Darin S. Featherstone received his Juris Doctor degree in 2010 from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law where he was honored with multiple academic awards. Since law school, Mr. Featherstone has focused his practice exclusively on family law issues (including child custody, divorce, modifications, paternity, etc.) and has obtained a wide range of experience in this very specific and often specialized area of law.
Children grow up fast. If you don't get the parenting time you need, you may miss out on their childhood. Serving Orem and the surrounding areas, Featherstone Family Law helps mothers and fathers get the custody and visitation time they need to build and maintain strong ties with their children. In Utah, custody decisions are based off the "best interests" of the minor children.

Darrin was extremely helpful with my family law case. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable but I could care he truly cared about my situation and didn’t treat me as just another client. Divorce is never fun, Darin made it less miserable. I had a complicated and contentious divorce and Darin was able to help me understand the process, make suggestions and offer guidance in a way that I could understand and made sense. Fingers crossed I don't have to use him again but IF I find myself in need of any changes to my existing decree or need to change stipulations he will be my first call.... Darin, here is hoping we don't meet again! Thank you for as pleasant an experience as possible given the circumstances.

I talked with 5 lawyers in total as I began the process of selecting a lawyer. Mr. Featherstone was a clear choice from the initial consultation (which was free). What won me over was Mr. Featherstone's demeanor, his prices, and the attitude he had towards helping me. I had some pretty extensive modifications that I needed to make. And he walked me through all of them, answered all of my questions and made sure I had everything I needed to attend court hearings during the pandemic. When you find yourself in need of a lawyer's professional services it's a great relief when you can receive a prompt, personal response! My concerns were handled care and respect and all of the legal terminology that seemed confusing beforehand was explained in a way that made perfect sense. The few times I've required the help of a family law professional have typically left me displeased with the interaction, but working with Darin was a positive highlight during an otherwise stressful time.
