Well this review has been a long time coming, my wife was suffering from a disease that chiropractic treatments can help and when we found Masulas we thought we found the help we needed.
Once she had her initial consultation we walked out feeling like this was it, the only problem once we paid the $1600 upfront to start her 6 month treatment program she was only treated by masula himself maybe three times and over all the experience was not at all what it was supposed to be.
In the end it was just another standard chiropractor just at a much higher rate, so just read the reviews and do research

I suffered from vertigo and "brain fog" for two years. My primary physician has referred me to physical therapy and I have undergone several tests. But still I struggled. She referred me to Dr. Masula, a Chico chiropractor who, it turns out, teaches other physicians how to cure vertigo. He put me through a maneuver that made me EXTREMELY DIZZY and asked me to do this same maneuver/exercise at home. The first time I did it at home, I also got extremely dizzy the first time, but then, after that, I sat up and all my vertigo was gone and has been gone since! No more "brain fog"

What great people all the employees and the Doctors are all wonderful people, kind and caring. The Doctors go above and beyond to make sure you are being taken care of and referred to the right people if need be. I have been seeing Doctor Masula for a couple months now and I wouldn't go anywhere else anymore

I am extremely unsatisfied with the way they handle businesses at this facility. I called and set up and appointment the day I went in for the first time. I asked over the phone what are the charges to be seen I was told it would be 127.00. I should up they ran some test and told me I needed X-rays. Prior to leaving I asked if there would be an additional charge for the X-rays and I was told it was all included in the 127.00. they told me what office to go to and everything for the x-rays. I am now being charged for the X-rays that i was told was included. I asked twice prior to getting the x-rays

Salesman get you to pre-purchase appointments. No legitimate doctor would sell you appointments you may not need. It's clearly not based on your results. Oh you improved? too bad you already paid for 4 more appointments so you better go or you're just throwing money away. the other positive review says it all "scan on our backs development[sic] by NASA". Ha what a joke, just gimmicks and high pressure sales here.

All three chiropractors in this office are very knowledgeable and help with more than pain chiropractic work - they help with over all health and wellness if you are willing to take the time and resources to do it. Dr Masula Sr. helps people with brain and balance issues. The only down side for us is price but they do have a great family package that is worth it if there are 3 or more in your family.

I actually respectfully disagree with the first review. It is true that you do pay up front and then they bill your insurance. Your insurance reimburces you for the a PORTION. So you still have out of pocket expense because they are more expensive then most chiropractic offices. This is because a lot of insurances don't cover chiropractic work and Dr. Masula Senior is a Neutrologist and a Chiropractor. Also when we decided to look at the payment options we were given a few mins to ourselves to think it over. For us there was not much to think about because we knew we had to do something immediately

Beware of the time share type sales pitch! Multiple sessions are paid up front in cash and each appointment is much more expensive than any chiropractor I've ever gone to. Must sign up and pay that day to get any discount without time to thoughtfully go over treatment plan or get a second opinion.
