Report
We hired Mel Gilbert through a referral from a business acquaintance, to raise funding during our start up. Mel cashed our $25,000 retainer and that was about it. He talked with only one perspective investor and strung that contact along for many months without seeking other investors (all our eggs in one basket), the investor never amounted to anything..Mel was very hard to get updates from and did not do his job. Ultimately we fired him and he did not return the $25,000 retainer. I would NOT recommend using Mel or GVC financial. It was a total waste of $25,000 and six months worth of time.
