Do not hire Blue Lotus Films for your filming needs!!
I hired Blue Lotus Films to make a professionally edited film of a live performance I created. The quality of the film they created was beyond unprofessional. Sarah, the lead of this company, even admitted to me in emails that some of the footage from the videographers she subcontracted was below professional standards. To name a few issues with the video:
-whole parts of songs are cut off
-bows and speech at the end are missing
-there is shaky footage throughout whole video where it jumps off the stage and into audience, audience's

I reached out to Blue Lotus Films to film and create 5 videos for my company. They were very easy to work with and always professional. My favorite thing was the proactive communication to ensure we got the best footage. Having the calls before the shoot to layout exactly what needed to be done made everything seamless. I'm based in San Diego and the videos were filmed in Washington DC, so I was slightly worried about communication issues since I was not on site, but things went perfectly. I would highly recommend Sarah and Blue Lotus Films!

I hired Sarah to film a class I was teaching at my healing center in Berkeley. She was fantastic! I chose the two-camera shoot at Sarah's suggestion and am so glad I did because the finished product is very smooth and nicer to view. I felt completely comfortable with both Sarah and her assistant.
Sarah was able to edit all the places I wasn't happy with and was also very agreeable to add extra templates with different dates etc. so I can use this product more than once!
Her fees are very reasonable and her products completely professional! I highly recommend Blue Lotus Films and Sarah

Thankfully I was able to utilize a special that was offered for an introduction video. This was my first time pursuing such a project for my new business, so of course I was nervous.
Sarah is super helpful and patient throughout the entire project and makes it easy. She assists with script writing; her knowledge and experience makes this potential daunting task fun!
Filming day was cool too, we started with a grounding meditation so you can help calm your nerves and tap into your inner self and connect with why you do what

We needed a professional "studio" quality video for classical music that could be used for high level competitions and conservatory entrance. Sarah's Yelp reviews were good and she was quite professional. However, the videos unfortunately did not have this studio quality and we have to redo the video.
She explained that sometimes expectations are different. We paid her in full but I wish she was bit more flexible in understanding why our project failed. I have her video and an older studio quality video for comparison. The difference is obvious.

I did my first music video with Sarah at Blue Lotus Films and am delighted with the result. I wasn't sure what to expect -- I was hesitant to make a video because I'd seen so many bad ones! -- but Sarah met with me several times to go over ideas, possibilities and realities of the medium, assembled a great crew and communicated clearly with the cast to ensure a shoot that was both organized and fun. Sarah is not only professional in the way she goes about business, she is delightful to work with. I utilized Sarah's services record and edit a introductory seminar to promote my Incubator - I wanted a trailer to showcase our seminars.

Sarah is fantastic! My friend and I hired her to shoot and edit a casting audition video. The result was a beautiful piece of work that I was proud to send off to the production company. While spending the afternoon with us she was very professional pointing out the best lighting, sound and location choices. Sarah has a positive, pleasant attitude and is simply wonderful to work with. I will definitely choose her again in the future.
