A needleless Japanese technique called Shonishin (pronounced show-knee-shin) uses specific tools to stimulate points and meridians with acupressure. Sometimes acupuncture needles may be used with a simple in and out technique rather than leaving them in for a prolonged amount of time as with adults.
Acupuncture treats each person as a whole, instead of just correcting symptoms or looking at one function. Questions about sleep, digestion, emotions, reproductive health, and urinary/bowel function are routinely asked no matter what your primary complaint is. The function of all these systems go together to make you the person you are, and help to formulate a Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis that is specific to you.
Acupuncture is a 4,000 year old medicine that is one of the therapies used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Thin, flexible, disposable needles are inserted into specific acupuncture points to achieve movement of qi ("chee") and blood through your body. It works by reminding your body how to use its resources most efficiently.
Do you miss doing activities that you once enjoyed, but now can't because of pain or illness? Treatments at Seasons of Balance focus on balancing your pulses and reminding the body how it can function at its highest level. Are you ready to see what life can be like without as many physical, mental, or emotional struggles?
Acupuncture is a holistic medicine looking at how the entire body works as one to achieve optimal efficiency. It is hard to say that there would be any condition that would not be helped with acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. For those of you who are new to the idea of acupuncture and would like some ideas about what acupuncture is particularly known for in the United States, I have posted two helpful lists.

I love this center for #1. Everyone that is affiliated with Seasons of Balance is professional and genuine. As for the float, it was great. The entire experience should be something that everyone try at least once, but you will be hooked. I am scheduled next month again with the float and the unbelievable acupuncture. I had terrible back pain, so I treat myself to a deep tissue massage, chiropractics and then the acupuncture and after those three treatments, the pain has dissipated. These are my new primary care!

I love the treatments I've had with Seasons of Balance. Vanessa has wonderful abilities to get right to the heart of the trouble I have and gets me on the path to healing every time. After a serious accident she helped me with the PTSD I had and now I'm able to get into a vehicle with comfort and ease. I also give her credit with my physical recovery from the injuries sustained in the same accident. After the medical Dr's put my bones back together I was left with very little mobility. Vanessa was there to get me walking and mobile again. My thanks to her in so many ways for her healing and intuitive

Vanessa has changed my life!!! Her treatment of my carpal tunnel for both hands is amazing!! I can actually do things that I couldn't in the past, and can throw fishing lures without any pain in my hands. This all after I had surgery a year ago that was supposed to eliminate the pain I was having before that didn't work! Sure wish I contacted her prior to that surgery. I probably would have saved myself a lot pain and money!

Vanessa has been great to work with regarding my health issues. She is willing to explain things I do not understand and my health has been improving more quickly because of accupunture. I would highly recommend Vanessa and accupunture to anyone who finds traditional western medicine a little slow or even unhelpful. I am so THANKFUL that I found a good accupunturist.
