Kent's Firestone was founded in 1962 by John R. Kent. After 12 years with the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, Johnny Kent returned in 1976 and one year later Bobby Kent joined him. In 1982 the current Tire & Service Center was completed. In January of 2020, Johnny and Bobby retired, and Ronnie Jeffrey, a 28-year employee, and silent partner for 10 years decided to buy the business.

Vehicle manufacturers have preventive maintenance schedules for air conditioning service, just as they do for transmission service, oil changes and so on.
