Lake Mac Auto Body is owned and operated by Kevin and Elise Lockhart, lifelong residents of the Ogallala, Nebraska area. We opened Lake Mac Auto Body in the fall of 2010 because we saw a need for a shop that puts the customer first. Damage to your car or pick-up is a negative experience--we work hard to make sure dealing with us is a positive one.
We are one of the leading auto repair shops serving customers in Ogallala, NE, Roscoe, NE, Brule, NE, and surrounding areas. All automotive repair and mechanic services at Lake Mac Auto Body are performed by highly qualified mechanics. Our mechanic shop works on numerous vehicles with the use of quality truck and car repair equipment.
We understand that the insurance companies are our customers, too. We treat them with the same courtesy, care and professionalism as we treat the car owners. We are very reasonable, polite and professional when working with your adjusters, claims representatives and other insurance officials. We are fully committed to keeping up with current technology.

August 18, 2021. We were traveling from Utah to our home in Illinois. We needed to get home to see a hand surgeon. After a fast food lunch, my driver's side window would not go all the way up; it was out of the track. A local car repair shop was too busy but sent us to Lake Mac Auto. We pulled in and Troy greeted us with a smile and said he could help. He removed the inner door panel, adjusted the window and put it all back together in 15-20 minutes. After chatting for a few more minutes, I requested the bill. To my surprise, it was no-charge.
That was truly a 5+ Star experience!!

They completely forgot about me when a worker quit/left. Said they had no record of my appointment. I waited almost 4 months for my vehicle to be looked at but I never got a call so I called them and they said well you can wait another 5 months for another appointment or just go somewhere else. I guess they dont like repeat business. I had an appointment set. It wasnt my time frame that was the problem. Its that I waited for my scheduled date and then was told we have no record of it. Basically my "turn" in line was forgotten about.

My wife and I hit a deer in the wee hours of the morning...on our way to Niagara Falls..we googled the nearest body shop and found Lake Mac Auto Body & Paint...we called and left a message asking them to call us as soon as they open. They called us at exactly 8am they’re opening time...they immediately sent someone to meet us to assist the situation. Caleb crawled under our motorhome to assist the damage and fixed it. In winter of 2014, my family and I got into a car accident on the highway just outside of town. It was a bad snowstorm, and we were trying to drive from Utah to Washington DC for a new job. I ran into my wife and both cars were undrivable. This shop is where the wrecker towed our cars to.
Everyone at Lake Mac was beyond helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. They lent us a van to drive to Denver - with only gas as a cost to us - so that we could fly out to DC to finish the trip.
They repaired both vehicles at very competitive costs, dealt with insurance, and treated us like good friends

We were traveling to CO for Christmas and were pulled over twice about a burned out headlight. Lake Mac had to pull the front bumper completely off to replace the bulb. They researched it, did the work and didn't charge us a thing!! The garage and office staff was incredibly friendly. We tried to pay and they wouldn't take anything. Merry Christmas for us!
