They are both very knowledgeable, take the time to answer any questions or concerns and really do push you to the best recovery possible. Ryan has been an amazing contribution to my recovery from both total hip and knee surgeries. His enthusiastic approach and knowledge have given me great hopes of returning to my normal way of living without limitations.

Services
Ryan graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in athletic training. He then interned with the New England Patriots before deciding to pursue a career in physical therapy. He attended MGH Institute of Health Professions where he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy. He worked at a private practice for 7 years before deciding to open Coastal Physical Therapy.
Coastal Physical Therapy was founded in 2017. Prior to attending physical therapy school, Ryan had dreamed about opening his own clinic. After working for other private practices, it was time to begin the new journey. He envisioned a clinic where patients would come in and feel welcome. They would be treated like they were a family member.
Coastal PT accepts most insurances, including Medicare, BlueCross BlueShield, Tufts, Harvard Pilgrim, Aetna, Allways Health Partners, Unicare/GIC, United Health Care, Worker's Compensation Insurance, Motor Vehicle Accident Insurance. Typically physical therapy is covered by insurance (see list of insurance above).
Your first visit will consist of an evaluation where your physical therapist will take a thorough history of your problem, perform a physical exam, and determine a plan of care. Your follow up sessions may consist of any of the following based on your individual plan of care:. Manual therapy or hands-on treatment is a specialized skill utilized by physical therapists.
I asked a physical therapist friend to recommend someone to help with my knees. She suggested Ryan at Coastal PT. The first thing I liked was Ryan's belief that people in pain should not have to wait to be seen. I was quickly called back by Ryan offering me some choices in the week of my initial call.

I’ve been to Ryan twice: for my shoulders and for my hip. In both cases, Ryan gave me outstanding guidance in coming back to full strength, alleviating the pain I was having in those areas. The facility is clean and bright and easy to access. Scheduling is easy and Ryan gives you his full attention while you are there.

I had a great PT experience with Heather. In a short amount of time, I found relief from pain and noticeable improvement in strength. Heather was very thorough during the initial appointment which continued with focused and efficient sessions. She is also very nice and easy to talk to! Regarding COVID precautions, the space is large and I was never working near other patients. Everything was very clean, and I always felt safe.

I worked with Ryan at Coastal Physical Therapy. I really appreciated Ryan's care and concern for my healing. He used ultrasound and massage techniques and taught me stretching exercises for my compressed nerve and sciatic issues. Especially during this Covid situation, I appreciated Ryan's: One patient, One therapist, One hour philosophy. Also, the Physical Therapy facility is a very clean and welcoming place to work on physical therapy issues. I would highly recommend Ryan and Coastal Physical Therapy to anyone in need of these services.

I have a new physical therapy practice. I have been to many physical therapy practices and I will be staying right here. Ryan is great, really knows his stuff. Kind personal experience. I had both my hips replaced at once and Coastal physical therapy Really helped me to fast and comfortable recovery. 5 STARS ALL DAY LONG. So glad I gave them a chance.

On arrival, it was pleasing that this is a small office, and mostly only one client at a time is there. Usually I enter when the prior person is leaving or the person following me comes in. Everyone seems friendly and a few comments are exchanged. This contributes to the overall comfortable feeling
