After years of honing my skills, using family and friends as my taste testers, I decided to become a professional pit-master, sharing my BBQ style and flavors, cooking with only wood, passion and an eye for detail. Northern Smoke BBQ evolved from 20 plus years of ideas. This wasn't a food truck, but a 1988 Chevy Mac Tool truck that I spent 5 months stripping down and building into my ideal food truck.
Our truck is clean plus it is inspected to insure the highest quality in safety and taste. All meats are cooked on a reverse flow smoker, using natural hard and fruit woods. We never use gas or chemical starters. We pay close attention to each cut of meat to make sure it has the perfect amount of time to produce the best flavor and quality.

Born and raised in Southeast Michigan, my passion for barbecuing started at an early age. The smell of the grill lighting up was a sure indication of summer, family, friends and good eats. As the seasons passed, I continued developing my cooking methods, working with different spices and developing my own BBQ sauce.
Northern Smoke BBQ of Michigan has a catering menu that is perfect for any occasion small or large, formal or informal. We offer traditional smoked BBQ and side dishes with our own special twist. Our menus are innovative and in constant flux to keep up with recent food trends. In addition to standard menu items, we also offer custom catering menu services.
