From a young age, I Dr. Teresa Y. Chapa-Cantu knew I wanted to help others. But, I originally had planned to help animals. Growing up in my family of 5, I saw how hard my parents worked to give us all the necessities of Life. I didn't know we didn't have as much as others then, but I knew we had more than my mother did growing up as an immigrant from Mexico, and my father, who also grew up in poverty.
In keeping with our mission, I have actively responded in support of the ongoing efforts to eliminate the injustices that continue to occur in our nation. Despite my identity as a Latina, I consider myself to have been brought up in a privileged environment as I have always been a part of the majority in our RGV community.
We have a strong belief in the power of human connection, and the amazing RESILIENCY that is an integral part of our being. Our foundation is a trusting and genuine relationship, and we always aim to treat our clients with respect and compassion. We establish goals for therapy together and adjust them as needed.
Resiliency Psychological Center LLC is receiving requests for both online and in-person appointments! At this time, we are scheduling a limited number of clients for in-person sessions. We have over 15 years of experience conducting full psychological evaluations. Specifically, we have evaluated children, teens and adults, with a variety of diagnoses, including concerns with hyperactivity, depression, trauma, conduct problems, mood problems, severe anxiety, PTSD and sexual concerns.

My children were seen by Ms. Lopez last year and she is so awesome! Highly recommend her. However, I can’t say the same thing about the front staff/billing department. We are private pay and my understanding was payment would be deducted from my card weekly for sessions. This was not the case. Some weeks I was paying for the previous weeks sessions and it became such a mess I didn’t know for what session I was paying for anymore and then all of a sudden I incurred a balance of a couple of hundred dollars. Was referred here by another doctor. The therapist didn't match my needs, but it was only one session. It could get better. The main issue is, I asked how much the treatment was, and was met with "That's a Clarissa question, she'll call you."

No one ever writes a positive review, but people are sure quick to write their negative experience. I am a veteran and have been coming to this place for almost two months. The staff here is great, from the front desk to the Doctor and counselors. They greet everyone with a smile almost every time. I am not in the best of moods each time, but I do feel better once I leave. I do wait on the Doctor at times, but it is definitely a better wait time than those when I go to my VA appointments. People, this is a great place to consider for your needs!! AA++

My appointment was at 10:30am and I couldn't make it early enough. I was told no later than 15 min and I got there at 10:47 and she couldn't see me. On top of that I got a ticket for trying to make it. It's 11:27am and no one has shown up for the next appointment and she still didn't see me.... poor excuse for a doctor. Maybe it's a good thing that I didn't see her? Someone knows she's not doing her job to help Vets out
