Services
Money Pit has become a popular term again with the massive uptick in construction costs over the last year. This home lift project on Lewes Beach, Delaware came from a couple shortly after some flooding in their neighborhood. After 10 years of this site, we're revisiting some older topics every so often and updating them.
Archology Architecture and Design Services is a full service design firm providing a full range of architectural design and rendering services. We do not specialize in any particular style but have experience in a range of styles including (but not limited to) Craftsman, Mid-Century Modern, High Modern, Victorian, Colonial, and Contemporary.
Our staff has worked on a wide range of projects. Over our first ten years in operation, we have been involved in 2,500 different projects with wide ranges in scopes, styles, construction types, and locations. We often get asked for generic prices for our services, and our response is every project is unique.
New residential construction is a lot of fun to design. They can be an opportunity to be creative. It can be very rewarding to assist a client negotiate between their dreams and the realities of building. The important thing is communication on both sides and keeping expectations in line with budget.
Residential renovations and additions are our bread and butter. A lot of times, the existing conditions can really constrain a project. This is a great reason that bringing a professional on board can be helpful. Renovations can upgrade the curb appeal, , increase energy efficiency, provide new space, rearrange an interior, capture a view, or just fix the bones that hold up the house.

My husband Jon and I met with Mark Redden the owner of Archology to design our event/wedding venue. He was very attentive and listened to what our vision was and did a great job making it come to life on paper. Mark was always responsive when we needed something and always willing to answer any questions we had. We can’t wait to start building. I would recommend Mark to anyone who needs a great architect.

We did a large project with Archology (custom home design in 2015). Mark Redden, owner/architect, was one of three architect/designers we interviewed. We awarded the bid-to-design to Mark as he was the best at listening to our needs, translating them into creative ideas, and his cost was reasonable. As we developed design plans, Mark was also very flexible as we modified the plan several times. He was very accessible/responsive at all times during the 12+ month effort even during off hours and weekends. Mark was also very helpful in the selection of our builder and provided critical project management
