We are a fourth generation pharmacy located in the town of Scotland Neck, NC. We have been proudly serving our community and the surrounding areas since 1901. We provide the charm of a small town drug store, while also keeping up with the latest advances in technology and medication services. We even have the original tile floors and cabinetry still in place!
Simplify My Meds is a FREE sync program that we offer that allows you to get all of your medications at the same time every month! We will call you each month to review any changes to your medicines and confirm when they will be ready. We will explain the program to you and answer any questions you may have.
Medication therapy management, otherwise known as MTM, is a program we offer that helps you manage your medications and health conditions. Would you like to have a complete list of the medications you take for your personal use?. If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may benefit from medication therapy management.
You may be a candidate for our adherence packaging program! With SureMed, your medications are organized by your pharmacist in blister packs that show you exactly what medications to take and when to take them. No more keeping up with several different bottles and not knowing whether you took your medications or not.
At McDowell's, we offer pneumonia, influenza (seasonal) and shingles vaccines to ensure your health year-round. We offer pneumonia vaccines year-round (Prevnar13 and Pneumovax23). It is recommended that most adults 65 and older receive Pneumovax23. Prevnar13 may be indicated for specific patients. Ask your doctor or pharmacist whether you are a candidate for these two pneumonia vaccines.

The most wonderful people you will ever meet. McDowells Pharmacy and the staff very help and supportive with respect (angles)🙏. MAC Packs are the bomb.com it is worth it to have a Mac Pack less bottles and the date and times are already set for you, just pull a pack and you all good to go. Thank you McDowells and staff.
