Our Virginia terminals include Charlottesville, Culpeper, Fredericksburg, Lynchburg, Richmond (Midlothian and Chester), Roanoke, and West Point. Our Pennsylvania terminals include Hazleton, Scranton, Stroudsburg, and Tremont. Our newest venture is operating the Botetourt County Landfill. We currently service residential customers each week through Homeowner Associations and individual subscription services.

I usually always try post good reviews for local businesses; however, the service provided by County Waste in Stafford, Virginia, does not deserve more than one star. Today is January 14, 2022 and the last time that County Waste picked up the trash in our neighborhood was on December 31, 2021. I understand that we had a snow storm, but the snow melted more than a week ago. We have been calling for the past two weeks and we even sent an email to their home office. I really don't like County Waste. I feel like they are a sneaky and dishonest company.

I've been using their services for over 5 years. In that time, prices have gone up repeatedly, but never with explanation or warning. Each invoice is a game of finding where they've increased charges. To date, costs have gone up 25%. This is absurd as neither my needs nor their services have changed.

Several times per year, they simply do not show up on the designated date, again, without warning. They'll eventually show up a few days later, but that's terribly unhelpful to customers

I have been a customer for years. I haven't had any issues until recently. They failed to pick up. The driver refused twice to pick up bags of leaves from my yard. When I called management they were not at all concerned with losing a long time customer. I recommend you find another waste company that cares about their customers. They may be a cheaper alternative but they don't care about the consumer. 9 days later still waiting on them to pick up trash cans.

Trash and recycling not picked up and drivers not being held accountable.
Apparently each truck is equipped with gps and the driver fills out some type of update at each address. This week, the driver apparently stopped in front of my address and filled out "trash can not out" and continued on. This is a straight up lie. Both my trash and recycling were out last night and my trash was picked up today as normal.
So now after 1 hour on hold, county waste is refusing to pick up my recycling until next week, refusing to discount my rate and failing to hold the driver accountable for lying

You can never get ahold of these people. they refuse to answer the phone. I have moved and been trying to call them for a week (would be on hold for an hour before trying again) and they just don't answer....

I set up service with this company, paid them, then never heard back. It's been 10 days and I haven't received my trash cans. I've been calling everyday for 6 days and no one answers. I've emailed, reached out on Facebook and nothing. Now I will have to go into their office and cancel and get my money back. This is a crap service. Very unprofessional. Do not use!

I would not recommend this trash service to anyone. Besides having an issue with picking up trash from their own cans it is next to impossible to get anyone on the phone. When you finally get someone on the phone you are reminded they don't need your business with a bad attitude. If you ask to speak to a manager there are apparently none.

Absolutely horrible. They always have an excuse as to why they miss your house and then "offer" to come on their next regularly-schedule day. Gee, thanks for offering to come on the NEXT day I paid you to come ... IF they show up then. When you call you are on hold for 20 or more minutes ... literally ... every single time. As others have said, they used to be a good company. I have no idea what happened, but I'm shopping around for someone else.

They neglected to pick up my recycling and when I reached out their voicemail box was full. I submitted an online ticket and was told they can't send anyone out to get my recycling until my next scheduled trash day! We've been customers for over nine years now and I'm stunned at the lack of solutions offered. If you have other options take them. Btw this isn't the first time we've been forgotten ... this is the first time I called about it. I just figured if I'm paying for a service and it doesn't get completed THROUGH NO FAULT OF MY OWN they should try to make

PITIFUL SERVICE. Driver lies about can not being curbside, the company swears he was tracked to the end of my street. Then fails to adjust my next monthly bill. This company misses pickups 20-30% of the time. If you have any other option, use another service.

Have not had any bad experiences and have been with them for prob 5years. But have not received a pick up in 2 weeks now. Its not good to have trash piled up on the street that mine is when u live in a development. My husband has tried to call several times and no luck getting thru.

I called County Waste one day ahead of pick up and explained I had yard waste, the operator assured me I was good for pickup. At the time I couldn't understand why they had such a low rating given my pleasant experience during the initial contact, that was .......until the following day. Given my skepticism in the stark contrast between my intial opinion and the poor ratings I decided I'd keep an eye out for the trash truck, to make sure they picked it up as promised. when the truck driver pulled up he missed the trash can knocking it over spilling trash in my drive way. I sent the following email to county waste on 7/12/2019 and received no response. I also sent this to them via Facebook message on their business page. I can see that they viewed the message but have received no response. My mother attempted to file a complaint but her call was forwarded to a dispatcher.

I'm writing to notify you of a customer service issue experienced by my 60 year old mother on 7/11 during her trash pick up at--------.

After cancelling our service and moving out of state we continued to get billed. Inquiring about the payments we found out they had forgotten to do a service request to have the bins picked up. We followed up a few days later and were informed the bins have been picked up. A couple days ago we got another bill. After calling again they told us that the bins weren't on the curb so they couldn't pick it up. This is because they put a service request 2 months after we moved out. Now someone is living there and utilizing the bins for free. We are now in another state and are being told that

Second week in a row my recycling can has been half emptied. I didn't bother the first time because i thought it was a fluke. yesterday I'm picking up spilled recyclables they left behind. today i call to ask if there is an issue with my recycling pickup, I'm told i have to talk to dispatch? after 2 min. on hold someone hung up. half tempted to load the bin in my truck and deliver the contents to them. piss poor customer service.

Much like another review when we tried to terminate service we were told we were under contract until April and then it would auto renew. Since we are moving out of state we could terminate once we could provide proof of residence. Unfortunately we cannot do that until after we move to Ohio and they would not pick up the bins until after we provided that proof. We ended up paying the early termination fee to just avoid the hassle.

I will add to the contract issues. We were told that the contact automatically renewed and we could not cancel our services despite the property being vacant and trash service not being used. I wasn't given any cancelation options at all. Seems like a total scam!

Shifflet's has way better service and they're much nicer to deal with, no contracts and they're cheaper!
County waste has bunch of incompetent people that work in the office. The worst customer service in the world they nickel and dime you if you sign up you should just stamp sucker on your forehead.((( READ THE FINE PRINT PEOPLE ))) I paid them $150 to get out of my contract AND IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY! These morons still haven't come to pick up their trash cans. I can't tell you how many times I've called they put me on hold and then hung up on me. Get your crap
