The Teton Yoga Shala is a boutique Yoga school dedicated to offering personalized Yoga Instruction to meet you where you are. We offer personally catered classes that address individuals needs, one on one instruction, and semi-private instruction. Schedule a class or book an appointment with one of our seasoned teachers and pave your path toward optimal health and well being.

Our knowledgeable yoga teachers have years of direct teaching experience and strive to enhance their own understanding of Yoga through regular practice and education. She's a wife, mother of two young ones, an athlete and a yoga teacher with many years of experience and training. With a strong focus on alignment, Ainslie Mintz will help you refine your form for healthier poses leading to a healthier you!

Yoga is a lifelong healing system that addresses the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies. Rather than just being a workOUT yoga is the process of working IN. Our yoga teachers are here to support you on a path that is safe and sustainable. Please let your yoga teacher know if you are working with any injuries or have any limitations that they should be aware of.
Mindful flow is a slower-paced flow class focusing on intentional alignment and internal strength. We will move through familiar sequences spending a little longer in each asana to truly feel the effects and explore the balance between strength and ease. In this class, students will be given ample opportunity to "go inside" and check in with their internal landscape.
Private or semi-private yoga instruction have many benefits. If you are new to yoga one-on-one instruction is a great way to learn basic poses and proper alignment that is right for your body. Private instruction is useful for people working with injuries or health issues, those who would like more emphasis on specific yoga poses or modalities like pranayama, or those who just want one-on-one instruction to learn more.
Adi Amar was introduced to yoga in 1994 and has been studying and practicing yoga sincerely since the age of 15. Adi was hooked by the practice of Yoga as a mental, emotional, and physical healing system. In 1998, Adi had the fortunate experience to practice with Tim Miller and was instantly drawn to the Ashtanga Yoga method.
Michelle's yoga journey began nearly 20 years ago. She practiced on and off for years until she had a serious case of vertigo in 2017. At that point, she became dedicated to yoga in a more serious way because she discovered how it helped her with the anxiety and depression that came along with the vertigo and inability to engage in her other passion of free flight.

Teton Yoga Shala is an incredible yoga studio and resource in our mountain community. Adi Amar, the studio's owner, brings her deep, meaningful relationship with yoga to every class and training. Through Adi, I have learned that the practice of yoga is so much more than simply a physical practice. During the pandemic, this studio has been committed to creating a safe, clean , socially distanced space in-studio as well as consistently offering classes on Zoom.

I decided to drop in for a hot yoga class after a long day of snowboarding and I am so happy that I did! The energy was so positive. The class size was small and intimate and the asanas challenged me in the best way. The best part was looking out the windows and watching the sun set over the Tetons. Such a beautiful sight. I highly recommend stopping in for a class some time. I would probably have a membership there if I were a local!

Adi and Ainslie are diligent, patient, and effective.

As a 50-year-old inflexible road warrior, I seemed to hurt myself too often. Trying maintain Jackson-esque activity was a pain in the (lower) back. After two years of regular sessions in "Ropes and Chairs" at the Teton Yoga Shala, I can ski, hike, bike, and even fly with more strength and comfort. Far fewer injuries and more confidence allow me to increase my weekly exercise and enjoy the mountains more often.

Adi's class is slow but intense, with deep explanations and an emphasis on the philosophy behind yoga. Ainslie&apos

Such a beautiful yoga experience! Our instructor, Trish, was so knowledgeable and made us work in such a beautiful way. Her energy is spectacular and I left floating away from the studio. She is an absolute gem within the yoga community here in Jackson. I cannot wait to come back and take class with her.

What an amazing yoga school. I took a 200 hour YTT. All I can say is how grateful I am for Adi's patience, knowledge and energy. All the teachers that we had in our program were outstanding. Vanessa, Nikki Sue and Angela. They are truly living their yoga. Namaste

Loved the class I took! Used ropes as props as well as others! The class was so great for all the hiking and tightness of outdoor activity! The teacher was very knowledgeable about alignment and anatomy and had a very very soothing voice. Cassandra was her name possibly?

Loved that there were Windows instead of mirrors everywhere. Diverse group of teachers here create an inclusive, safe laboratory for the mind body and spirit to explore& heal. I'll always cherish this sweet studio& hope to have the opportunity to return.
