Services
In 2005, I was given my first BBQ cooker by my uncle. Ever since then its been a passion of mine. An addiction really. In 2008, we started cooking in the KCBS BBQ competition circuit. It was exciting! There is nothing better then being surrounded by amazing barbecue smells and learning from fellow grillers!
Our staff includes experienced cooks and professional servers who will attend to your guests so you can relax and enjoy your big day or finally get to talk to those relatives who you haven't seen in years or actually get to sit down and take a breath while we do the rest! From drop off to full service, whether your party is big or small, corporate or casual, Smokey Oak BBQ is ready to make it special!
Food at your wedding is crucial. Besides the dresses we'd say the food is the thing people leaving talking about the most. It's also the hardest part of your wedding to plan! Do you try and cook it all yourself, impose on your relatives, or hire an expensive caterer that has too many opinions? Or just skip it all and only serve cake?
Charles County has a rich history! From Dr. Samuel Mudd's house to being home to one of the oldest towns on the East Coast: Port Tobacco, established in 1634! It has so much for your family to explore and enjoy! It is home to the Patuxent River, a beautiful spot for fishing and has many nice beaches.
Smokey Oak BBQ Catering Company would love to cater your private event in Charles County Maryland. Charles County is a very beautiful area. It's the perfect area for a family bbq, wedding or a company employee appreciation dinner! Whatever the event, we want to make it a success and something for people to remember!

I got the half rack of ribs, the wife got pork nachos and we got the kids the pork BBQ mash up. We also shared mac and cheese and green beans. The ribs were great, I was told the nachos were great, as they didn't last long, and the kids liked the food. I would like to have had some flavor with the green beans, tasted like it was just warmed up canned green beans. The mac and cheese was over cooked and I think that was only because they were prepared in advance and was put into a chafing pan to keep warm. I would like to try them fresh when this pandemic is all over. I would recommend this food

I was so excited to try a local BBQ joint that I made it a point to attend a particular summer event at Gemeny Winery where Smokey Oak was set to cater for the evening. I ordered the chicken platter... the pulled chicken was fine, but the baked beans and green beans tasted very bland and honestly seemed to be out of a can. We attempted to jazz up the meal by adding a little of their recommended “hot sauce” and I would bet $100 that it’s Franks Red Hot sauce. It tastes identical! My wife and I like Frank’s just as much as the next couple, but we expect so much more from a local BBQ joint

We had the ribs, pulled pork and brisket with Mac and cheese and green beans as sides. As native Texans, we are always down for good BBQ and this was definitely no disappointment! Meat had a fantastic smoke on it and they have their dry rub nearly perfected (I’d recommend a touch more salt in the brisket rub). The Mac and cheese was killer and although the green beans were a bit too spicy for the kids, my husband and I loved them. This is a MUST TRY place.
