Services
Mountain View EyeCare was incorporated in January of 2009. Prior to that time, our name kept changing in an attempt to keep each optometry doctor's name on the business following each transition. In 1966, Dr. E. Bruce Kirn, O.D. took over for Dr. Carrier, who had passed away. For many years it was known simply as Dr. Kirn's office.
At Mountain View EyeCare we are here to make it enjoyable and fun. Our staff can help you find just the right pair of glasses to fit your style and vision needs. Our office carries a wide variety of eyeglass frames and brands so that you can find a frame that works for you. We offer designer eyeglasses as well as specialty frames, including prescription athletic and ski wear.
There are numerous reasons why people choose contacts over glasses. Some wear contacts for cosmetic reasons. Others wear them because they are more effective in correcting their vision. Sometimes athletes and outdoor enthusiasts wear them because they do not fog up with snow, rain, or even sweat. Soft Contact Lenses: These lenses are made from soft polymer plastics.
Staying healthy also includes your eyes. The doctors at Mountain View EyeCare, are here to help you keep your eyes strong and healthy for years to come. In addition to our medical eye care, we also offer preventive eye care for our patients. When you come in for an appointment, we can help to assess your current needs as well as help to determine any possible future risks.

We are out of town and having issues with my daughters contact order from home. Although they were not able to help they were extremely kind and offered some solutions that may help!

The Good: Friendly doctor, helpful assistants. One assistant in particular was very patient as I struggled to put in my contacts.
The Bad: They try to make you buy a 6 month supply of contacts in order to get a copy of your contact prescription. If you read up on the FTC website you'll see that doing so is illegal. I had a friend who went in for glasses and had a similar experience -- folks at the office pushed her to buy very expensive glasses from them and she had to explicitly ask for a copy of her prescription rather than just being given one -- which should be the default. I'm guessing this

I have been going to Mountain view eye care since I was a young kid. I absolutely adore Dr. Cameron, she is an amazing doctor. The only reason I didn't give one star is because of her. I have recently run into some trouble when trying to talk to someone. I called the other day to request my glasses prescription to be emailed to me. Whoever I spoke with was very short with me and seemed put out by this task. She did send it to me however the prescription was not complete. I paid an additional $5 at my last exam to have my PD measured and that is not on my prescription. It also does not have half

While Dr. Ellis was fantastic, unfortunately the rest of my experience at Mountain View Eyecare was terrible. Dr. Ellis helped me find ways to improve my eye health with a different brand of contacts and some eyedrops - that was a great improvement! I also decided to get a new pair of frames and new lenses in my old frames. My new pair of glasses took a while, and given the Covid-19 pandemic, I was patient. When I picked up my new pair of glasses, I swapped out my old frames to get lenses in them. After 30 days of not hearing anything, I called the office and they didn't seem to know anything about

Has gone down hill, everyone is rude and unwelcoming. Takes 3 months to get in unless you want to see a doctor who doesn't listen.
