We were coming through and needed a place to stay. We had made the reservation over the phone on our way in and gave our credit card information. When we got there the place was not right for us , the stairs and floors creaked so loudly we would have never gotten any sleep. When I let Ruth know it wasn't going to work for us she refused to refund our money she said they held the rooms for us, but only for 30 minutes, and her whole demeanor changed from friendly to rude. I would not recommend pre booking until you see it for yourself first because they will keep your money even after only 30 minutes

Lovely old hotel that's been lovingly updated. Very comfortable room with soft bed. Breakfast included, however not served until 8:15 which does early travelers absolutely no good.

We have stayed here twice so far. Our third stay is already booked. There are truly not enough words to say how delightful it is here. It almost feels like you've been transported to a BnB in Ireland or Europe. The rooms are lovely and the beds very comfy. The Breakfast is delicious. You absolutely get a sense of special care. It's a dream to stay here!!

Gorgeous mix of historic charm and modern comfort! The building is breathtaking and the rooms meticulously clean and welcoming - complete with plenty of bedding/towels and a discrete TV for a relaxing evening plugged or unplugged. The hospitality and value here beats a big-name hotel room or the leading room-share service, hands-down. Certainly will be returning - In fact, I re-routed my trip next weekend to stay here again! Note: plenty of easy parking even for a car towing a moving trailer; also I recommend the nearby George's Restaurant for great diner/cafe food (dine-in or take-out).

Love the atmosphere. Breakfast was hot and delightful. Clean and well appointed rooms. Dinner and lunch choices in the area were only limited to 1 restaurant and a few fast food places. Keep this in mind.
We would recommend if you're passing thru the area. Very nice owners.

We went just did our first murder mystery night at Garza Hotel and LOVED it. The staff was awesome and the food was great. How is this little gem not known about? This should be a Lubbock Landmark Landmark event
You dress and actually participate and figure out the mystery. Met a lot of great people and had fun and games also. Overnight stay is a beautifully restored hotel that has modern necessities inside We just put this is our must do list again !

Small town, hidden gem. When you walk in you are transported to early 1900's. Gorgeous decor, clean and inviting. The bedroom we stayed in was plush and true to the times with a brass bed and claw foot tub... we went for a murder mystery night... well run , food was plentiful and delicious, our host kept us entertained the whole night... the next morning breakfast was scrumptious and the game finished.. great times. We will definitely go back again!

I was surprised when my wife picked a spot this far out of Lubbock. We loved it! My father and stepmother stayed here as well, and they seemed to enjoy it. The morning breakfast was enjoyable. I loved the area of downtown around it. It was enjoyable to walk around here. The rooms were so cozy and nice to stay in as well. Best bed and breakfast that we have stayed in so far.

If you happen to find yourself traveling through the small town of Post, Texas, you need to spend the night at Hotel Garza! This is the most beautiful, peaceful bed and breakfast you will ever find. The proprietor is so helpful and courteous, and she makes a terrific breakfast! The rooms are straight out of the 1800's but with modern amenities, of course! Absolutely stunning entrance once you walk in from the west Texas wind and dirt. This is our second visit and will probably make a third and fourth!

We just stayed for one of their murder mystery weekends. It was SO much fun!
The owners are wonderful, the hotel is so cozy & charming and well-appointed. We stayed in the Miss Kitty Suite which had a sitting room off the bedroom and was so lovely. The stay was too short- we will be back!!

Condom was left on the pull out that had a pathetic spring that was like sleeping on the floor. Disgusting and filthy hotel. Hairs and mold everywhere. Do NOT stay here. They are way overpriced for the area and not up to the standards for which they expect payment. On top of that, don't expect a good night's sleep as the train loudly rolls through in the middle of the night. The owner made excuses for everything and said it's just the way it is. You're better off staying in a bigger city like Lubbock or Sweetwater at a reliable chain hotel where your hard earned money won&apos

This amazing, 100-yr-old hotel was a smash-bang finish to our vacation. We didn't get in until almost midnight & Ruth (owner) let us in, herself. It was extremely clean, renovated with excellence & creativity, hosted with the utmost hospitality, and the breakfast in the morning was a delicious West TX meal. We were all so impressed and would highly recommend Hotel Garza to friends and family! Thank you for an amazing finish to our Summer vacation!!!

This was one of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed in! Elegant, comfortable and gracious. What s find in the middle of TX! The owner/managers were delightful. Friendly and accommodating with a huge delicious made to order breakfast - we couldn't have asked for more! We toured this historic hotel - each room and suite unique with antique furnishings , updated amenities and flatscreen TVs. Right on historic Main Street yet quite quiet except for the occasional mournful train whistle. We will go out of our way to visit here again.

This is a funky, old, beautiful b&b with tons of character. The stairs creak in the best way and there are so many antiques and old photos everywhere. The owner, Ruth, makes a delicious egg breakfast however you like. The hallways are delightful (see my photos) and the rooms are even cuter. The library is an amazing room with a low ceiling and lots of old books. Loved it!

I had a great experience at Hotel Garza. The couple that owns the establishment were very kind and accommodating to me. I arrived at almost midnight to check in and they were still willing to make me my breakfast earlier than they typically serve their guests. I can't imagine why someone would have had a bad experience here and I'll definitely be staying again.
