A Helping Hand Home Care was founded by Lori Yocum (RN, BSN) and Travis Yocum with the mission to provide much needed respite and personal care, as well as compassion and companionship for all individuals. Having worked with A Helping Hand Home Care , I would highly recommend their team for you or your loved ones home care needs. The agency provides reliable service, excellent customer care and the company ethics really set them apart from the other agencies. One girl was late to my mother's residence by 35 minutes. Most are poorly trained. The management says whatever it takes to get your money and sends these workers who have no idea what they're doing to take care of your loved ones. It's been weeks since we started using this service and I haven't seen the same girl twice. I don't understand what would be so complicated about scheduling them. We have the same hours needed every time! The toll it takes on my mother to remember all the names when they don't even come back is ridiculous. We are switching services. This

I am a social worker in Lawrence, KS and I have worked closely with A Helping Hand Home Care for over 8 years. We have had dozens of mutual customers and there is a very good reason why: they are reliable, dependable and will work overtime to meet customer needs. They have become my ‘go to’ home care company. If customer concerns come up, I can count on them to be professional and thorough. If you are wondering if this company can be trusted with your loved one, put those worries aside. This is one of (if not your best) option.

We have had a few caregivers who are good but mostly really BAD care. One person left my father unattended. She was supposed to stay 2 hours but left 30 minutes after my mom left my dad in her care! —UPDATE—They actually threatened to not make a care plan (after using the service for several weeks) if I didn’t take this down. They didn’t think my father needed a care plan when they first started!?!?! It’s all about how good the business “looks” but not at all about the clients. 😳 —UPDATE—They “fired” my parents as clients because of a bad review. Best thing they’ve ever

I have had the opportunity to spend time with the owners, supervisors and their employees. My mother has dementia and now resides in a full time care facility. Knowing that this company would be there when we needed with loving care was the most important thing to our family. They shared to call them if we needed anything and we will help you. What I liked most about their company is their care oversight. I met several supervisors and knowing they provide supervisory visits to their clients is what means peace of mind for their clients. I highly recommend them.

Helping Hand Home Care is an amazing service! We have had to use them to help my parents. They are very easy to communicate with and my parents get a long great with the staff they have sent over. They are prompt and very helpful. We appreciate having a service like this that is affordable and professional. Cassie and Lori are extremely easy to work with and provide excellent service even during stressful times. I would highly recommend them and their staff.
