Roger Bacon High School, established in 1928, is a Catholic, Franciscan co-educational high school that takes pride in its history of strong academics and community outreach. Our academic programs mesh with our Franciscan values and help us to attain our goal of developing the mind, body, heart and soul of the students entrusted to our care.

Those who are unaware of the rich Franciscan tradition of this school may not immediately connect Roger Bacon the medieval scholar and scientist, with St. Francis of Assisi, who founded the Franciscan Order. Friar Roger Bacon was born early in the 13th century. He became a Franciscan in his early 40's, joining a flourishing group of friars who made their mark in England during the first years of the Franciscan movement.
Roger Bacon High School is governed by a Board of Directors which is comprised of experienced leaders in the business, academic and religious communities. The Board approaches policies which give direction to the high school and enable it to reach its agreed upon goals. These policies govern the operation of Roger Bacon High School.
