Dr. Ami attended Illinois at Chicago (UIC), obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. She continued her education at UIC, where she also received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. During dental school, she received several awards, including the American Institute of Orthodontic Research award and the University of Illinois Alumni Association Lina K. Tharp Award for compassion in providing oral healthcare to patients.

We LOVE CHT Orthodontics! We have had 3 family members now go through treatment at CHT a tween, a teen and myself a 46 yr old adult! This office is modern, fresh, clean and so welcoming! They even post a board with names of kids who are both getting braces on and off that day,! The staff is so professional and always friendly. They are on top of reminders through text messaging and printing out stickers for you when you leave that overall the service is seamless. I would like to also mention that we were in treatment throughout COVID and not once was I ever worried. They had and have so many protocols

CHT where do I begin
It’s a place where you can get braces to correct your smile and have it so much better than it used to be. Dr. Carrie is just so kind and her staff is so lovely to be around and talk to. Dr Carrie and her team are such professionals! From the first day of my consultation and every appointment since -they greeted me with warm beautiful smiles . The entire experience was pleasant and friendly. I was very nervous to commit to my traditional braces in the beginning but Dr Carrie took my fear away and was at my side every step of the way for the pass 23 months! And now I’m so thrilled and happy with my new smile !

Dr. Carrie and the whole team are absolutely wonderful! From the very beginning, I was super impressed with the level of communication and the kindness throughout the whole office. All throughout COVID, their safety measures and practices have been excellent. Also, the technology they use in their office is really impressive - very sophisticated and advanced! We used Invisalign to correct my bite, and I was very pleased with the whole process. Dr Carrie & her team supported my son through his year of Invisalign treatments. From start to finish, the service was great and the ease of the treatment and options for monitoring and check in appointments were well coordinated. After meeting many orthodontists during our interview process to choose a provider, we selected Dr. Carrie because of her reasonable approach and emphasis on what made sense for our son given age, maturity, and development. The Invisalign treatment worked great! He is finishing up his treatment and the results are outstanding. I recommend both Dr. Carrie and the Invisalign

CHT Orthodontics is hands down the best ortho around. I'm in my 50's and had braces as a teenager and a year and half ago I started on Invisalign. Dr Carrie assessed me with a cross bite as well as an open bite. I'm extremely happy with my results. Their office is hi-tech and is always extremely clean and inviting. I've never had to wait more then a minute to get seated. The staff is very professional and very friendly. You are in the best care with Dr Carrie , Dr Ami and staff.

Dr. Carrie is a gifted orthodontist. She just completed 1.5yrs of treatment on my 9yo son and I could not be more excited or pleased with his perfect smile!
Her new office location is state of the art and easily accessible and her staff is so kind with all of the kids.
The cherry on top is that I am a dentist myself and understand that, not only do his teeth look straight in front, but his bite is perfect all the way around. I look forward to my younger son's treatment with the CHT team!

Excellent orthodontic practice with an amazing staff and an amazing dentist. They are kind, on time, organized, and friendly. They gained my son's trust after a handful of negative experiences elsewhere and it resulted in a very smooth and successful process for all of us. Ann was super helpful, the front desk is full of smiles, and Dr. Carrie is one of the best!

Outstanding practice! The staff is so amazing. They treat each patient with kindness and gentleness and help make the entire process less intimidating. Love CHT Orthodontics! Dr. Carrie Thangamani and her staff are always friendly and welcoming! She does a lot to support charities as well which is amazing. Her Office is bright, professional, kid-friendly and sparkling clean! Both of my kids actually love going to her Office but only one has braces! :-) Makes me want to get my teeth straightened too. I highly recommend Dr. Carrie for orthodontic care. After moving here from PA and having to find an orthodontist without any recommendations, I feel very lucky to have found CHT. I have a special situation with my braces and already had the top braces placed by another orthodontist. Dr. Carrie was willing to jump right in and continue my care without any problem. Her staff are all very friendly and the office is extremely clean and up to date with the newest equipment and great decor. Making and changing appointments is very easy because they are so accommodating. I would recommend CHT to anyone

I went to Dr Carrie's office for the first time today and was blown away by the overall experience! I had first taken my kids to a different Ortho office in a neighboring town. Unimpressed with that visit, I decided to choose one closer to our home. I had heard that she was newer to the area...but decided to take a chance anyway. So SO SO happy with my experience. I actually am an orthodontic patient of Dr Thangamani's at her Worth office on 11104 South Natoma Avenue.
I had already had ortho consultations with 3 other orthodontists and thought I knew who I wanted, but her office was closest to my home and covered by my insurance.
