I stayed on a Monday night in January and had one of the best experiences I have ever had at a hotel.
Andrew was bar tending that night and was extremely knowledgeable with the beer and drink selections. Some of the best attention to detail and friendly service anywhere in Akron!
I also met the Food and Beverage Manager (Baxter) that evening and he took the time to go over the menu and recommend the perfect entree. I was very impressed with Both Andrew and Baxter's Skill level with creating mixed drinks.
Everything from check in to check out was perfect. The Blu-Tique Hotel is a definite must

Great staff. Really great staff. Parking is not free during the week. Great breakfast as well. Some napkins and utensils would be welcome though.

When I heard they were open I booked rooms for two different occasions!
Boutique hotels are small but pack a powerful punch with entertainment in the lobby.
Staff members were great!
Beautiful lobby and bar area!

A beautifully restored & updated gem in a prime downtown Akron location! We enjoyed the Presidential Suite - a huge corner suite on the top floor. Dinner & drinks in The 1 (hotel restaurant & bar off the lobby) were superb. Hand-crafted cocktails, gorgeous & tasty entrees (we had ahi tuna skewers & seared scallops with creme brûlée as a shared dessert). Baxter, director of The 1, is welcoming, charming & helpful. Overall, we can’t wait to go back!

This hotel is not even close to being ready for open. The only reason I give it 2 stars is for its kind but truly incompetent staff.
Checkin was a mess and included them moving me into multiple rooms that were either not ready (everything from no curtains to no sheets to no locking door) or did not have two beds. They apologized that their system was new and they were still learning. Almost every time they had to reswipe my credit card.
Later in the week there was a serious issue for which the hotel refunded our stay to that point. However just two nights later a painter came into our room around

This has become my favorite place for date night with the wifey. Good food, drinks and live music. The service was so good I could put it on steak A1 lol. We even danced a little.

Wow! My husband and I had a corner room on the 6th floor. It was extremely clean and comfortable. We had trouble getting to the hotel using GPS because of a road closure so I called the hotel and the desk clerk explained how to get to the parking garage which was very appreciated. The hotel has a restaurant with drinks and a limited menu but very friendly knowledgeable staff. There are several restaurants and bars within walking distance as well. I can’t think of anything negative to say! We enjoyed our stay and hope to go back.

Akron -- and for that matter, the rest of Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New York -- where are you?

Just completed my first of a two night stay here and highly recommend it. Here are the main reasons:

1) Incredible value on the rooms. Everything is new, beautiful, and big. We got the presidential suite ($169/nt), but the regular rooms are also very well done and spacious ($119/nt). Clean and classy, I am pretty sure these rooms could go (and might some day) for almost double the price.

2) Great happy hour. From 4:30-6:00pm, every night, great deals on some very good food. The regular

While waiting for a local brewery to open for the day, I decided to check out the bar at Blu. The hotel is beautiful! As I waited for the bartender, I met Tai who gave me a brief history of the hotel. She was very friendly and made me feel right at home. Baxter, the Beverage director, made me a wonderful Mule! Soooo fresh! I will definitely plan on staying here the next time I'm in town. I was really impressed by the hospitality! Thank you Ty and Baxter!

I'm so excited to leave the first review for this hotel & bar - my impression is that the team has put a lot of heart & thought into the renovation and it will be a great addition to the area.

I was only in Akron for a quick trip, but so glad it brought me to the Blu-tique hotel as they roll out this new spiffy boutique hotel, gorgeous cocktail bar all with super friendly staff. From night check in to morning check out, front desk ppl were extra helpful, and the bar had a nice let's-all-be-friends vibe when i decided to grab a late dinner. My food was exceptional, even as

Very tasteful decor and nicely renovated. Bed was very comfortable and very nice pillows. The shower was superb. Hotel just opened and it shows lol. Everyone was very nice and attentive however they were struggling to learn the systems. Key cards are very difficult to use and this involved several trips back to front desk. Restaurant and bar not open yet however nothing was said when we booked. We went to the Blu Plate restaurant across the street, it was not a good experience so avoid it. I'm sure the hotel will get the bugs worked out over time. Coffee in the lobby was very good and they
