Cleanvergnugen is locally owned and operated in Seacoast, New Hampshire, and was started in 1988 by Renate Plitzko, who had immigrated to the seacoast region from Germany in 1980. With basically no English skills, she began learning her newly adopted language by watching Sesame Street on television three times a day.
Little did she know that she would earn her American citizenship 15 years later. Renate realized with two young children to support she needed to find a way to provide a better living for her family. She soon realized she had an inherent ability to clean, so it made sense that Renate should start a cleaning service, and Cleanvergnugen was born.
