Sholes Overhead Doors was started by Robert "Bob" Sholes 1975. Bob's commitment to quality and integrity laid the foundation for what our company is today. Bob retired in 1988 and handed the reigns of the business over to Terry Reed and Terry has continued in the tradition of Bob's work ethic for twenty-four years.

Guess I'll just add my accolades to the many others of this local business. We tried several other companies before we discovered Sholes. But our crumbling old garage doors were slip-fitted around some built-in cabinets, and no one would touch them. They said we'd have to find someone to remove the cabinets first. But the cabinets couldn't be removed before the doors came out unless we destroyed them. They're nice big redwood cabinets and very useful, so we didn't want to lose them. Tearing them out was not exactly a job that appealed to any of the carpenters we tried to

We had an old wooden single piece garage door that needed replacing. I contacted Sholes Overhead Door, and they scheduled a free consultation, which occurred within a few days of my initial call. So, nice prompt service there. During the consultation, I told Allen that we were interested in a simple stainless steel door, and Allen discussed with me what would need to be done, since our garage is 80-100 years old and some dimensions were funky. I really can't say enough good things about Allen and Amanda of Sholes. Our garage door came off the runners and was basically hanging on by a thread. I thought the entire door would collapse inside the garage. I expected to be given a quote of several hundred dollars for a new door and labor. Instead they came out at 7pm on a weeknight and said they could get our existing door operational for $127 including labor, parts, tax, everything. They got the job done in less than an hour and then told me how they could repair our motor (that hadn't worked in 5 years) for $157 instead of
