All dancers and teachers wear masks, we take temps at the entrance, and we keep distanced while dancing. Marie Bahner (Owner/Director) has 25 years of dance teaching experience. Her dance training (and her dance teaching) began locally at Dance Horizons, in Redlands, CA. She started dancing professionally at the age of 17, has been a member of several dance companies and has trained with some of the top choreographers in the field.
Marie has her B.A. in Elementary Education and loves teaching children, teens and adults! She is also a yoga instructor (RYT-200). Miss Marie teaches: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Chair Yoga and Family Yoga Workshops. My daughter started at RISE a little over a year ago. The studio has done a good job of following health and safety guidelines. They did classes through Zoom during the strictest times. But we are extremely happy to be back in the expanded studio. She loves going and I appreciate the balance of teaching - exercise - and fun.

My daughter has been taking classes for over 3 years now. She has taken everything from ballet, jazz, hip-hop and tap. I have watched her grow as a dancer and develop a confidence she never would have been able to without the help and guidance from Marie. After watching my daughter evolve in her dance, I began taking yoga and tap and I couldn't be happier. I got to discover hidden talents and meet new friends along the way. During COVID, Marie continues to take extra precautions to ensure everyone's safety. All I can say is thank you for all you do and for being a light through all of this!

Rise Dance has been a gift to my daughter, especially during the pandemic. Marie has followed all of the rules and when we couldn't meet in class, we met via zoom. My daughter has grown so much and looks forward to dance class every week. Marie is very patient and cares about all of her dancers.

I signed my daughter up for dance and she's loving it! Miss Marie is very good at working with children and is effective at getting my kid to engage. I'm so impressed by her ability to teach dance that I'm going to try and do some adult yoga soon as the atmosphere is welcoming to beginners like myself.
