Brighter Homes Lighting was opened in Eugene, Oregon in 1968 by Jack Lee. At its inception, it was a novelty. The idea of a stand-alone showroom of decorative lighting was almost unheard of. Lighting was more function than form, and it was often an afterthought in the construction process. However, that was changing and Jack saw an opportunity.
Style and design in the interior and exterior lighting industry was blossoming, but it had to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. Jack knew that if he created a showcase for the artistic nature of decorative lighting, home buyers could more fully express their personal style through lighting their homes.

If you are looking for quality lighting for your home or business, Brighter Homes is the place to go. They have a huge selection of lamps, chandeliers, outside and interior mounted fixtures and a great selection of exquisite fixtures ranging from a couple hundred to 2000.
The showroom is huge, very spacious and very well organized. Along with all their name brand options they carry some vintage lamps and shades. They also have really unique painted glass lamp shades. The staff here were super helpful and knowledgeable on products.
Only downfall is the parking lot is super tight, and it's off

I was disappointed in this showroom. There were at least 3 workers in the front when my husband and I walked in, not a single person acknowledged us or asked if we needed help. There was one other customer, they had construction documents so I assume they had an appointment.
I have a large project I needed lighting for and I would have loved guidance, or even a business card to make a future appointment. I have a new design business and I will have many future projects that would have brought them more business, but it looks like I am going to bring my business somewhere where they are polite
