Associated General
Our Chapter is evolving with the marketplace. Since 1951 we have led the charge in Maine for contractors on legislative policy, regulatory reform, business networking and workforce development. Today's challenges are tougher than ever, and because of that our role in the industry is more important.

We are member driven. Our Board is representative of the firms who choose to be members. Our bylaws require board composition of members that include general contractors, specialty contractors, suppliers and service providers. The diversity allows policy to ensure we are considering industry objectives and an environment where we are working together for common goals.

Associated General Contractors of Maine is dedicated to the betterment of our community and state. Besides working for stronger transportation and infrastructure to provide safe means of working and living our members also contribute to their individual towns and cities. The Emergency Services Mobilization Program builds on a decades-long tradition of the construction industry assisting government in times of disaster.

AGC Maine offers member discounts that you can add to your toolbox! Last year AGC Members saved over $14.5 million using these programs. Each benefit has a different page explaining the discount and process. Some are direct through AGC America, and we've also secured others with an organization known as NPP.

Associated GC's of Maine does not support the right to repair. They support polluting your environment with hazardous ewaste by having electronics and equipment sent to landfill when they are replaced with new devices instead of being repaired and kept in service. They claim that non-dealer heavy machinery mechanics would ruin the progress in environmental control by breaking federal regulations to eliminate def systems (no, right to repair does not allow for bypassing DEF systems.) and that non dealer mechanics would not understand "complex" electronics and even go as far as to say OSHA wouldnt
