Services
Have you been looking for a chiropractor in Sacramento? Unlike conventional medicine, which focuses on attempting to treat disease once it occurs, the chiropractic care offered at American Family Chiropractic in Sacramento emphasizes the importance of improving your health in an effort to reduce the risk of pain and illness in the first place.
We are proud to provide a comfortable, state-of-the-art facility for the highest quality chiropractic care available. Our office has many original pantings and sculptures from local artists. We are confident that you will feel right at home in our office, as we welcome all patients as if they were family.
Dr. Kosbau has many years of experience and has successfully treated thousands of patients. He is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and has an advanced degree as a Chiropractic Orthopedist, which requires years of additional study. He has the experience to know whether chiropractic care can help, and he works with other professionals for an integrated approach for treating the whole body.
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. John Kosbau to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. John Kosbau to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
Most people are under the assumption that if they don't feel any pain that there is nothing wrong with them - that they are healthy. Unfortunately, pain is a very poor indicator of health. In fact, pain and other symptoms frequently only appear after a disease or other condition has become advanced.

Dr. John Kahsbah has helped me countless times with my back. Over the years we get busier and busier and lose track of our exercise, stretching and health. For myself the first indication of this is my back starts to really hurt. He and his receptionist are delightful always. Once he adjusts my spine I am always pain free and thankful for another shot at health. If you want a great chiropractor go to American Family.
I have referred many people, they like him too!
Sincerely,
Paige M.

I called this practice based on a friend's referral--only after my back was spasming so bad I couldn't move at all. My doctor literally advised me to continue laying still, take some ibuprofen and call her in the morning. My friend took me to Dr. John, where he did a full exam, gave an adjustment AND massage... He had me walking and moving that day!!! That week I went in two more times to continue to improve my condition, and now see Dr. John twice a month to keep everything aligned. He helps me with my back, neck, even feet. He and his receptionist are beyond sweet and friendly; they feel like

I began seeing this practioner right after graduating from college in 1985. As my body has changed over the years (almost 30-yikes!) it is without a doubt that I'm still healthy and walking upright due to the treatment given by Dr. John. Despite numerous sporting injuries, weight gain, and a drastic decrease in gym visits since becoming a mom (I'm working to change it), chiropractic and especially Dr. J has kept me relatively pain free. Don't just treat the symptom...treat the problem and feel better. Dr. J stays very up to date and sincerely cares how you feel. He'll direct you to your MD or a
