Over the past 30+ years, we have experienced virtually every model on the market, and have built a flexible multi-carrier parcel TMS - deployed on-prem or in the cloud - to easily adapt to your unique business needs.
The underappreciated hero of the fulfillment system is the labeling and manifesting system. This workhorse has to gather information from a wide variety of sources, apply complex algorithims, customize to specifications, and create a label (and any supporting documentation) in milliseconds, at extremely high volumes.
For every shipment, all shipping, tracking, and billing/invoice data is stored in the ScanData Data Warehouse. Some data can be stored for quick retrieval - for research, and reporting - while older data can be archived. Reports can be scheduled on a periodic basis for email delivery or storage; archived data can be stored for 7-10 years depending upon the client's needs.
To effectively understand status, one must gather, store, integrate, and interpret data generated by the client's internal systems, ScanData, and the Carriers. It is essential to be proactive; if there will be a delay in delivery for example, the consumer will be more forgiving if the retailer notifies them in advance.
