Hotel: good place to stay near Death Valley. Rooms were big and clean. Bed was comfortable. Just a couple of issues: The fireplace didn't stay lit, so I didn't feel feel comfortable using it. And the sink was not secured to the counter. No microwave in the room, but the one in the convenience store is available for hotel guests. Most staff were friendly and helpful.
Jack's Cafe: good food despite being the only real option for miles around. The chef was very helpful with food allergies. Big portions.

Wrost "hotel" ever.
It seems like the last time someone cleaned the room was in the 80s:
Filthy shower with hairs everywhere (even on the ceiling), dirty toilet seat, dirty carpet.
The only place to eat here was the resturant who served really bad and not fresh food.
Stay away from this hotel!

A great place to stay near Death Valley National Park! This place is truly better than most of the hotels in Beatty while still being very close to the park. I absolutely love their old school decor all over the place. The rooms are themselves very clean and have mostly everything you’d ask for. Lights, TV, refrigerator, air conditioning - everything runs fine. The attached restaurant, mini mart and gas station are definitely very welcome additions. The staff is nice and accommodating as well. Overall I have nothing but great things to say about this place. 10/10 would recommend.

A Top Notch Inn. Clean big rooms with comfortable beds. Friendly staff and amazing views on the back side. Short drive to Zabriskie’s point and Dante’s view in the DVNP. Would absolutely recommend it.

Staff was friendly and bathrooms were very clean. Laundry facilities and showers too, if you need them. They also have gas but don’t seem to really advertise it, not a terrible price either.
Three stars because the cafe was awful. Took about 45 minutes from sitting down to getting food, burger was really rare (didn’t get asked about how we wanted them cooked?) and the picture is the apple pie you get for $4.99. Looks like it got ran over.
Aside from that it doesn’t seem half bad.

Place was super fun. Stayed at the RV park for 3 days as a jumping off point each day for adventures into Death Valley. RV park was super affordable for a full hook up. Inside was a small casino, restaurant and store. All charming. Staff was very friendly. Gas super cheap and if you come here with an open mind realizing you are in the middle of no-where then you’ll have a great time. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back- if I ever do another trip to Death Valley.

Very quirky place. It’s clearly a little run down but the pond is cute and the service was great everywhere. The food options at the restaurant weren’t so great, but the bar made up for it.
The cleaning ladies were super annoying and woke us up at 8 am both mornings, hence I’m knocking off one star.

Good cheap alternative location if you are visiting Death Valley. Book a room overlooking the pond, it is worth it. Relatively clean property. Staff is nice. Best chocolate chip pancakes ever! Try it!

Drove from Vegas just for a nice drive to Death Valley. We were never there before.
Stopped to eat lunch. Pleasantly surprised! Large inside. No cigarette smell. We had our black lab with us and they allow dogs inside, just not in restaurant. We sat at a table in the casino. They also had comfortable leather couches to sit and relax. It was very enjoyable to stop there and eat and gamble a little. The burgers are big, fries were excellent! I had a tuna sandwich and that was excellent also. You won't be disappointed if you stop for lunch. The staff was awesome!!!
We will be stopping there again
