Culture is the binding force for our 90-plus year success story. In 1921, Kirkman O'Neal started a small steel fabricating company in Birmingham, Alabama that now provides employment to over 3000 individuals, including many multi-generational families, who have served a road map for clients across the globe.
Since 1921, the family of O'Neal companies has been committed to adding value to customer relationships. Throughout its early history as Southern Steel Company and then the full line metals service center O'Neal Steel, the company continuously expanded its processing capabilities to provide customers with a high-quality, cost-effective solution for outsourcing.
O'Neal Manufacturing Services (OMS) is a supplier of metal fabricated components, sub-assemblies, and weldments. Offering original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) specialized fabrication services for steel products and other metal materials along with additional machining capabilities to provide for any type of large complex project that our customers have.
O'Neal Manufacturing Services (OMS) is a supplier of fabricated steel components and welded assemblies, our primary focus is on helping original equipment manufacturers (OEM) who are seeking a partner to manufacture standard or complex parts, streamline in-house production, and produce locally at or below targeted costs.
Tube processing and handling are essential capabilities. Most standard parts require some form of tubing as part of their construction. Our highly skilled, experienced equipment operators ensure fast, accurate and cost-efficient parts. Operations that occur following the formation or rolling of a tube include specialized procedures like swaging as well as more standard operations such as cutting, punching, trimming or bending.

Excellent place to work and build with! I'm not sure why all the bad reviews from truck drivers (who know our procedures) or a guy who may have lost his own steel business or something. None the less you can't please everyone. This is a great company though and I hope this gives a more realistic view on them. They take care of their employees and everyone we work with but keep in mind it is a big company so they have specific procedures and ways of handling things that may take longer than our convenient world may tolerate... but you cant rush quality and it's in everything we do!

It takes a special kind of person to send a billboard truck to a family owned and operated business to try and solicit employees after over 20 years of hard work my dad and uncle put In for myself and my family. It’s ridiculous to sit outside of our business during break time trying to recruit employees. This man even had the nerve to get out and take pictures of the billboard in front of our shop.
