Carson's, as we know it today, was newly established in 2002, yet its ancestor Carson's Premier Catering has over 20 years of experience working with the public and in the food service industry. Tim Carson is the grandson of the founder of Carson's Tavern in Scottdale. With a desire to expand into new areas, grandson Tim Carson along with his grandfather, founder of Carson's Tavern, began their catering business through the tavern.

A lot of pros and some cons with Carson's. We had them as our caterer for our wedding at Stonehenge Lodge (as that's the only caterer allowed). Overall, the food was fine (some things are really great, others are kind of okay). Once we got closer to the wedding, everyone was pretty quick to reply, which I appreciated. As far as the owner, Tim, goes- I did appreciate that he was very accommodating. If it was in his ability, he allowed it. However, whenever we showed up to the tasting, in the midst of COVID, NO ONE was wearing a mask. COVID is something I take very seriously, as I care about others

Had my daughters wedding at the Barn at Ligoniee Valley Saturday 10-30-21. Was HUGELY disappointed in service. The woman supposed to be our coordinator for the day was an hour late and could NOR be reached by anyone by phone. The Groom's stepmother had to do our cookie table. Everything seemed disorganized and SLOW. the food didn't taste the same as at the sampling and we had several complaints of it being cold. My daughter requested the hot choc/ cider bars, obviously paid extra for that, and it was haphazardly thrown together on a corner of the bar last minute. Our guests were

The ham,mashed potatoes was cold had to go up and down steps to get something to eat you though they would have put a buffet upstairs as well. The buns was hard I hurt my upper gums because I have an upper plate to bite into it. I thought it would have been better than it was. But I an honesty say we had the nicest waitrss.

Carsons was great to work with. They were very professional and they do an outstanding job with allowing you to customize your menu/package to best fit what you want. The staff was amazing to work with as well. They were very pleasant and did a great job decorating the tables and a few other items. Communication was great leading up to the wedding. We definitely recommend Carsons for your event/wedding.

DONT GO. THE OLD MANAGEMENT WAS MUCH BETTER. We made a reservation for 6:00. We arrived on time and there was no one at the front to greet or seat for a good 5 minutes. There was one couple ahead of us with no reservation. The hostess came and asked if the first couple had reservations. They said no. I spoke up and said we do. She asked our name and scratched it off the list. She then seated the other

Warning: this review is honest and potentially heartbreaking if you're expecting a great experience at Carson's. And I promise this isn't personal.. I don't even know who Carson is, only that he appears to employ half of the local high schoolers.

I didn't get a chance to book this vendor. We set-up a tasting appointment with their event planner Beluah. After we drove the 45 minutes to Scottdale we found out she would not be there because she was at another wedding. The staff at the restaurant was very polite and helped to find us catering menus, but the food itself was under par. I never received a follow up email apologizing for not showing up from Beluah. I would not recommend.

However, Carson's also has a buffet style dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings 4-8pm and Sundays for brunch. There used to be a buffet on Thursdays as well, but that no longer exists.
