What is acupuncture? Acupuncture is a form of Chinese medicine that has been practiced for centuries. It's based on the theory that vital energy, called Qi (say "chee"), flows through and around your body along pathways called meridians. Chinese medicine has its basis in the theory that illness is caused by forces blocking or unbalancing your Qi.
Acupuncture is a way to influence Qi and bring it back into balance within the body. In layman's terms, it triggers and speeds up the bodies healing process. Acupuncture treatment aims to bring homeostasis to different systems in the body, meaning to balance the body's functions.

She was 30 mins late. I called her number several times and she said she didnt realize she had an appointment. I found her fairly cold. Came in handed me paperwork and took her next appt. When I got back to the treatment room she asked what was wrong, put the needles in me and turned off the lights without saying much of any thing. When she came back in she removed the needles, and left the room. I even had some blood and bruising. Even with all that I did experience a bit of relief. about 40% better after visit

Amy is wonderful. She takes the time to evaluate all of your symptoms, explains what she is doing, and inquires at each session how you are feeling. Her office is very clean and inviting. I have always had painful and irregular periods. After seeing Amy I am regular with no pain. In addition, she helped me with my seasonal allergies. I would recommend Amy over and over again, I cannot say enough about how great she is!

I had a motorcycle accident almost 20 years ago that shattered my femur and hip. I had metal plates and screws installed to stabilize the break. A few months ago I started experiencing more pain than usual in my hip joint. Within 2 weeks I was unable to walk due to the pain. After an xray and 2 mri's my orthopedic told me I would need a hip replacement due to a lack of blood flow to my femeral head. He said the joint would continue to deteriorate and there was no other solution. He put me on an anti inflammatory (which I took double the amount of) and 3000 mg of Tylenol a day and I was still

In November my ob/gyn told us to get ready for the IVF. I had changed my diet and was thru fifth month of acupuncture treatment. I went to my doctor in The end of January with tender breast and a little bit of pain in my abdomen. I could not believe ... The doctor told us

First visit, she took the time to get all the information from me and make sure she fully understood why I was there. She is very gentle with the needles and makes sure you are 100% comfortable. This was my first time doing acupuncture and she has made it a very pleasant experience. If you're from the area or nearby, I would definitely recommend her.

I have always wanted to try acupuncture, but was intimidated by the thought of someone piercing me with a bunch of needles. During my first appointment with Amy, I knew that I had made the right choice by trying Golden Point Acupuncture. Amy made me feel comfortable and at ease about the procedure. She has a gentle and calm disposition, yet is extremely knowledgeable about her craft. I highly recommend her for acupuncture treatment.
