If you need to check the price of a bunch of fan-out packages, compare the cost of a large, low-layer count package to the cost of a smaller, higher-layer count package, or put together a case for why your technology offers a more competitive cost than solutions currently on the market, you've come to the right place.

We have twenty-five years of history in the cost modeling business, and a huge library of technology cost data. SavanSys was founded in 1995 as a spin-off of the Microelectronics and Computer Consotrium (MCC) In Austin, TX. The company began with a focus on cost modeling for PCB and MCM fabrication and assembly. In 2005, we expanded our cost modeling to include electronics packaging. We have built cost models for suppliers all over the globe.
Our generic cost models are based on industry data. They are available for use right out of the box, without the lead time associated with a custom cost model. They include all common process flow options within a technology, and allow the user to input detailed design parameters, as well as access specific process flow details.
SavanSys cost models are accessed through Microsoft Excel. The SavanSys cost modeling engine executes in the background, but for ease of use, all inputs and outputs can be viewed in Excel. All cost models are set up to allow for maximum flexibility. Nearly all design parameters have defaults. This means, if it's early in the design cycle, you can run the cost model with only a few basic inputs, like package size and I/O count.
In a project, we are typically analyzing your technology or process in detail, or we are comparing two (or more) technologies. In the first case, we'll build a process flow of your technology, then work with you to select multiple designs to run through the process. Next, we carry out robust sensitivity analysis.
