It's not uncommon at one point in our lives to experience feeling unsure, misunderstood and disconnected. Experiencing a loss can be very trying and confusing. Feeling out of control emotionally, mentally and physically can be overwhelming. Often we feel stuck and unable to make changes that will lead us to a more fulfilling life.

Tough decisions, major life events, and stressful demands from busy lives are challenges that we face everyday. By making the decision to come to therapy, you are choosing to not be alone in that process. I want to help you face these challenges. My training background includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.
I have extensive experience in the areas of depression, anxiety, trauma, and emotion regulation. I also provide support and treatment for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Through my years of experience I have been able to effectively build therapeutic rapport with individuals and am able to help adults gain a better understanding of their experiences in order to achieve their goals.
Making sense of life, yourself or others can be so confusing and overwhelming. I'd like to provide a safe and comfortable place to help you work on making positive changes in your life. It's important to me that you have a feeling of purpose in your life. When no one else understands you, including yourself, I can be there to help make sense of things.
The therapeutic process begins with an intake assessment for us to gain an understanding of the presenting problem you are seeking help for and determine the most appropriate therapeutic approaches to help fit your unique circumstance. The most important part of this process is building a strong therapeutic alliance with you through effective communication, unconditional positive regard and empathy.
We offer a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) group which is a closed group that runs weekly for 6 months. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a cognitive behavioral treatment developed by Marsha Linehan, PhD. DBT skills group includes skills for mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
