Services
We have been providing professional portrait services for the State College, Penn State, and Central PA areas since 2007. Offering both indoor and outdoor sessions at your home, office, or a convenient outdoor location, we have the expertise and equipment to insure a professional result. We can provide a range of styles, from the classic headshot on a studio backdrop to contemporary, artistic photos for theatrical or dance auditions.
Whether it's at our fully equipped studio, downtown State College, or anywhere around the Centre Region, we'll create photos that capture your personality and style. When you call or stop by the studio to book your date, we'll ask you some questions to help us in planning your senior portrait session - do you have a favorite hobby, sport, car or pet?
We offer sessions from a simple 15 minute cap and gown shoot to a two hour (or more) photo session anywhere on the Penn State campus. You can choose between digital files and prints, or a mix of both in any of the packages, and professional retouching is included. Feel free to bring along a friend or two as well - groups from 2 to 10 or more are welcome!
Studio sessions can be scheduled at any time of day, however the best time for outdoor sessions is in the early morning or late afternoon/early evening. We offer weekday sessions throughout the summer and fall, and have occasional openings on the weekends - contact us for availability. There is a $75 non-refundable deposit to reserve your session.
Choose us for your organization's photo needs! We have been photographing area sports teams, dance companies, and school groups for over 13 years. We offer a full range of print packages, and specialty items such as buttons, magnets, trader cards, key tags, statuettes, and more. We are proud to give something back to our clients as well!

I loved having VJM Studios photograph our wedding! They are incredibly professional, yet very friendly and helpful photographers who did everything from taking amazing pictures to fixing my hair if a lock blew out of place. They work as a couple, which seems to work out great as they are able to get a variety of angles that one photographer would be hard pressed to capture. If I had another event in the area I needed a photographer for I would not hesitate to hire them again, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a professional wedding (or other special event) photographer.

Vickie and Jim recently shot my wedding day in State College. From our first meeting they were friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. They helped my wife and I through the planning process leading up to the wedding.
The day of the ceremony and reception Jim and Vickie were able to split their efforts to capture both me and my wife getting ready. From there they were able to get the formal photos done in Pasquerilla in a limited time and with a number of family members. First, I must mention that I never write reviews. I always read reviews, but I never take the time to write them. Actually, this is the first one I have ever written.
Vicky and Jim at vjmStudios are absolutely amazing. My fiance and I are currently planning our wedding in July, and chose Vicky and Jim as our photographers. We were very nervous in choosing a photographer, as we are picky about the quality of photography and really want our photos to be beautiful. We even went in planning our wedding agreeing that we would spend the most on photography because the photos mean so much to us
