Gilmore Liquid Air Company began back in 1955 in a garage at the home of Harry and Virginia Gilmore. Harry and Virginia had moved to Southern California from Illinois to raise their children and start a new business.
Mr. And Mrs. Gilmore foresaw the growth of Southern California's scientific and aerospace industries and founded Gilmore Liquid Air Company in the interest of distributing cryogenic fluids and specialty gases to those as well as other industries.Gilmore Liquid Air Company continued to grow and in 1958 moved into its permanent location at 9503 East Rush Street South El Monte California.
