Spring cleaning time and found a ton of CFL bulbs I want to recycle. Santa Clara city online has Bay Lighting a recycle station. Dropped in and dropped off with no problems.
While there I asked how to upgrade my CFL ceiling cans to regular type screw in bulbs. He gave me a break down of what I need to do and what exactly to buy. When I'm ready to change out these 6 cans in my kitchen I'll be coming back for the right stuff.
I love these local places that specialize in one thing. They know exactly what is needed. The place looks more like an auto part store, but all I want is the expertise

Bay lighting supply is the kind of place you can drive by for years and not really notice it's there. However, when it comes to knowledgeable people, helpful advice, and the parts you need I doubt there is a better place to go. Sure the big box guys have lots to choose from, but If its not this season's trend, good luck. I needed an small $4.00 bulb adapter that absolutely was not anywhere else. Called David, told him what I needed, got a quote and 10 minutes later picked up my part. The two places on line I found it wanted 10 bucks to ship it, and 10 days ARO. Next to Jack in the box on el Camino

I was in dire need of a specific bulb that no one stocks. While other stores said, "not until next week," I'd have to order one for you," "I would have to drive to Hayward to get it, so not today." They wanted 2-3 times the cost. David of Bay Lightning Supply, said," give me a minute to see what I can do." in less that 4 minutes he found the bulb and set up a pick up for me so I can have the church parking lot lit up again and safe. A great Thank You to David @ Bay Lighting Supply. At a cost of half the other stores wanted.

Great place to get the lighting items I needed. Had to replace some tube bulbs and I could not find them at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. Called Bay Lighting Supply and David had them ordered and brought into the store for pick-up within days. Extremely easy process. Very friendly staff. It's my new go to place for lighting items...

We recently renovated our kitchen and I got all our lights from Bay Lighting supply. The folks here were absolutely patient and walked me thru the various options w.r.t light temperatures so I could chose the lights I was most happy with.
They also reviewed my floor plan and though the contractor had said 6 bulbs would suffice they gave me an additional two - just in case. Sure enough , we needed 7 and it saved me a trip to buy an extra light.
We placed orders for 4" lights and they needed to order these in. they called as soon the lights arrived on a day they were "officially"

We had been searching for a good economical under cabinet lighting fixture for our kitchen remodel project. David showed us several options and we found a great LED linkable low-voltage light bar here that fit our needs perfectly. It looked to be more sturdy than a tape light but much more economical and sleeker in form factor than a traditional under cabinet fixture. David set us up with all of the lights, connectors and transformer that we would need for our project.
It's a supply store, so there's not much in the way of a showroom, but service (and pricing) is the same whether

Came here to get a bulb replacement for one of my lamps. I didn't know what kind of bulb it was and the lamp label was faded so I had no information on why type it was. Luckily I saw this place while getting food at Jack in the Box.
I stopped in and was immediately greeted. The employee was busy helping someone else, but told me that he will be right with me. When he was done helping the other customer, I gave him the bulb and he knew exactly what it was. Gave me the bulb and asked if there was anything else that he can help me out with.
Fast, Friendly service. I like it!!! wh-what
