With over 20 years of mechanical and industry experience at bike shops in Charlottesville, Chicago, New York, and Oakland, Joel finally landed his greasy bike mechanic hands in Richmond. During his time in Chicago he founded a Schwinn Stingray bike gang which is when his love of restoring vintage bikes truly took off.
After working at Re-Cycles for 5 years, in 2018 Joel became owner of the local bike shop and has since been making all your bike dreams come true. When Joel is not working on bikes, you can find him playing bass in local rock band Washers. Abe hails from Cleveland, OH and landed in Richmond by way of Brooklyn, NY and Long Beach, CA.

We source, dismantle, and completely rebuild 'new' bikes around a sound vintage frame using top-grade components for the ultimate street or trail bike.
Classic looks with modern features. This bike comes in two styles, a straight-bar and a step-through, as well as multiple color options. Downtown series blends the striking looks of classic city-bikes with modern features and use lightweight chromoly frames in both step-over or step-through styles for ease of use.
