Surewood Forest
The owner of Surewood Forest Contractor for Repairs & Remodeling is David Kahn. David got his General Contractors license in 1985 in Southern California and moved to Pollock Pines in 1990, where he and his family of 4 have really planted their roots in the community. In addition to David's extensive background in home repairs and remodeling, he is also experienced in working on commercial properties as well.

David's dad and grandfather have owned and managed several commercial buildings for many years, and David does all of their repair and maintenance work, so there isn't much in the commercial property environment that he hasn't seen over the years! David has also seen and fixed just about every kind of problem you can think of in residential homes as well.
Services
Welcome to the home page of Surewood Forest, your Contractor for all Residential and Commercial property Repairs and Remodeling. My name is David Kahn and I have been one of the area's most trusted residential and commercial general contractors for 26 years and counting. We specialize in home repairs and remodeling, commercial building repairs and maintenance, as well as all insurance related work.
We try our best to take this fear out of the equation by being completely transparent about what we charge. We provide our services both on an hourly rate, as well as some larger jobs are bid on a total scope of work estimate. An example of a bid job would be for us to make you a piece of custom furniture or to remodel a bathroom or kitchen.
It's so nice to be able to call someone to fix something in your house without feeling like you are getting ripped off or taken advantage of. With David I felt the exact opposite! I felt like we got a great deal from a nice family man who really knows his stuff! He was on time, quick and thorough, even cleaning and vacuuming up after himself when finished!

Report
We used David again for some repairs and projects that we recently did on our home. He came down to the Bay Area and stayed for a few days and did the following work:
1. put up new plywood storage shelves in the rafters of our garage, as well as reinforcing the shelves with support arms up to the roof rafters that literally makes these shelves where you can walk on them if you need to!
2. installed a 50amp sub-panel in the garage and rewired the garage for us, so that we could get rid of all of our nightmare and unsafe extension cords everywhere! Installed dedicated breakers and plugs for a heater
