Four generations ago, My Grandfather and Great Grandfather started a small woodworking business that would steer many generations of our family to come. I am one of those generations. My name is Brian Kliss and I've spent nearly my entire life in the woodworking business. I take great pride in a diverse background of training and apprenticeship.
Licensed in 1994 as a general contractor we have continued to provide our best work to everyone of our clients big and small. We provide commercial and residential cabinets for San Luis Obispo County and other counties along the Highway 101 corridor. Although we have occasionally traveled as far north as San Francisco and as far south as the Hollywood Hills.

I was very impressed with Brian's skill level, detailed knowledge, and creativity. He custom built several cabinets within our staircase and also built an fantastic armoire that has become the showcase of our room. I would recommend his services to anyone without hesitation. Prepare to be impressed!
One of the biggest crimes I see in todays housing is the installation of low end prefab cabinets that come in a cardboard box. The life cycle of those types of cabinets is 8-10 years tops! Cabinets are not a disposable item. A kitchen is far too big of an investment for a "Do over". At Kliss Cabinets we hand build cabinets to last for generations.

I had a number of referrals for wood work but at the end of the day they fell through and Brian was there to save the day. This was a small job, but Brian fit it in, since I was willing to transport the work to him. He finished it on time as promised. Somehow I managed to mess up his work and he quickly resolved the issue so that the job was still done on time and looked better than ever. Brian is fantastic and I will call him again, for sure!

5 stars in all aspects: quality, craftsmanship, artistry, integrity, flexibility and professionalism. Brian is also an excellent listener and extremely patient. I wanted a piece of modern and functional furniture that would take up minimal floor space but with maximal storage area. I wanted a broom closet, coat closet, shoe storage and miscellaneous item storage in one piece of furniture. Brian patiently offered suggestions that would fulfill all my wishes without busting my budget. Brian at Kliss Cabinets is outstanding! He built all of the cabinets in our new home including the kitchen with a large island and floating shelves (instead of upper cabinets), 3 bathroom cabinets plus a nine foot master bath cabinet, built in drawers and shelves in three closets (including a large master closet), laundry room cabinets, and garage cabinets.
Brian is an artist when it comes to working with wood! His attention to detail is amazing, plus he was very helpful suggesting and recommending materials and accessories that were available such as an automatic opener for the trash can drawer
