Services
Steve and Christine opened Wainwrights Jewelry in may of 1972. They purchased the store from Dean Kincaid who was forced to sell due to illness. In 1976 they purchased the ground and built a new store in conjunction and connected to the B&W pharmacy. They have been in business at that location ever since.
Jewelry appraisals excel at Wainright's Fine Jewelers because they are done in detail with precision and accuracy. Steve Wainwright has a deep knowledge of jewelry and gemstones of all ages. A jewelry appraisal provides adequate documentation for insurance coverage should there ever be damage or loss.
When you have beautiful fine jewelry, you want to display it to the world. That is what it's for, after all. But wearing your jewelry also exposes it to various hazards and forces that can cause different types of damage, including the thinning of the channels holding your gemstones in place. When this occurs, the setting may no longer be strong enough, and you can begin to lose gems.
Your favorite pieces of jewelry likely get worn a lot. That's what they're for, after all. But over the years, that type of usage results in accumulating wear and tear, which can eventually cause damage to certain areas of the piece. The clasps on necklaces and bracelets in particular are quite susceptible to this, and it's common for them to require repair or replacement at some point.
Diamonds are the centerpieces of many types of jewelry, and they are frequently used as solitaires in engagement rings. While these stones are some of the hardest in the world, they are still susceptible to damage, especially when worn on your hand day in and day out. Fortunately, our skilled jewelers can repair just about anything, from a minor chip to a larger fracture, and we'll return your diamond to you looking just like new.

My husband bought a ring for me for Christmas but he was just slightly off on the size. I went to Wainwright’s today, he measured the ring and measured my finger. He told me a VERY reasonable price and let me… know that if he didn’t get to it today he’d have it done tomorrow. He called me less than two hours later! Amazing job! thank you!
