Services
My Father was in the Air Force and was transferred to Lubbock, Texas when I was one year old. I went to public school in Lubbock and completed my undergraduate studies at Texas Tech University. I received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology with minors in Chemistry and German. To further my education I moved to Houston where I attended The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston and received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
It is quite a privilege to be associated and working with such an incredible dental family. Normally, offices consider their employees as "staff" or "team". However, when you work with Dr. Nugent, it truly is as if you are working with family.
It is quite rare to find a group of people who work so closely together in a small office setting and still treat each other so respectfully; who go out of their way to show that they care for each other and their patients; who support each other every step of every day.As a brief introduction, I have been a practicing general dentist for 38 years, and I too, LOVE dentistry.

How did Dr. Ragsdale decide to become a dentist? He shadowed multiple dentists throughout his college career and had some very influential mentors during this time. After looking into other professional paths, he felt drawn to this field because of the constant, direct interactions with patients! He loves being able to help people not only achieve better health, but maintain it as well over time.
I am a dentist, but I am a human just like everyone else. My teeth need regular care to preserve them and to make them as gorgeous as possible. So, just like everyone else, I go to the dentist to receive many of the dental procedures I perform on my own patients. When I sat down to write goals for my dental practice, it occurred to me that the kind of dentistry I want to give to my patients was exactly the kind of dentistry I expected to receive.
I came out to Pasadena in 2008. I took over the practice from a retiring 72 year old dentist. I am the third dentist since the 1950s to own this office. The practice has generations of family members utilizing this dental practice. I have adult patients that are at our office because their parents, grandparents and great grandparents use our office.

I can’t thank Dr. Nugent enough! After 10 years of not having permanent lateral incisors, I found Dr. Nugent who helped me achieve my perfect smile with dental implants. Dr. Nugent and his staff were professional and willing to answer any concerns during the implant process. After my initial surgery, Dr. Nugent personally contacted me to make sure everything was healing fine. I highly recommend for anyone interested in dental implants or even a cleaning. I will continue to go for routine cleaning.

Dr. Nugent has been my dentist for years! Dr. Nugent and his staff are always welcoming, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He is great with patients of all ages. He is down to earth and outs you at ease. Dr. Nugent is always continuing education in dentistry and learning all the new techniques and services to offer his patients. I cant say enough about Dr. Nugent and his staff. Definitely go see Dr. Nugent for all your dental needs!

I feel very fortunate to be a patient of Dr. Nugent. He has taken care of me and my family for many years. We get the best dental care you can imagine. We are very pleased with the wonderful staff and gentle state of the art care we receive. I highly recommend Dr. Nugent and Dr. West for all your dental needs. Dr. Nugent has taken care of my three granddaughters teeth since they were babies. Two of them just recently had their wisdom teeth extracted early. This will prevent those teeth from ruining their naturally straight and beautiful smiles. I’m very thankful!

Amazing Customer Service. So informative at every step. It had been years since my last dental visit so I walked in super nervous, but all of my jitters were eased and comforted immediately upon arrival and even throughout my experience. 5 stars is not enough of a rating for this establishment. Came in for my regular cleaning and got some sealants put in. The hygienist, Kathy, took great care of me! What I appreciated about her was her efforts to explain exactly what she was doing. At other offices, I always just went with the flow with whatever they needed to do, but she provided a very detailed explanation that made me feel more comfortable with the work she was doing.
The place is much cleaner than any dental office I’ve been to in the past. And Kathy was actively paying attention to her sanitation as well by changing out gloves every time she touched something, washing her hand
